BOROUGH OF MOTUEKA

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Motueka Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £7,500 authorised to be raised by the Motueka Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of street development, the said Motueka Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three thirty-seconds of a penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Motueka, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

OAMARU BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Oamaru Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the provision of storm-water drainage from Thames Highway to the sea coast, and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council, situate in Thames Street, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands, who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Thames Street, Oamaru.

PETONE BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Petone Borough Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the protection of the Borough watershed and catchment area; and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at the State Fire Building, Lambton Quay, Wellington, and is open for inspection by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council Chambers, Jackson Street, Petone.

SCHEDULE

FIFTY-EIGHT acres one rood twenty-two perches (58 a. 1 r. 22 p.), more or less, situate in the Provincial District of Wellington, being the residue of the Native Land Court Sub-division known as Maungaraki No. 9 on the public map of the Belmont Survey District deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Wellington, and being the residue of the land described in an order of investigation of title by the Native Land Court made at Lower Hutt on the 12th day of September 1889, and being the residue of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 55, folio 281.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Napier City Council, at its meeting held on the 27th day of August 1956, has resolved to prepare for the parts of the city described in the Schedule to this notice a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.

Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.

Proposals marked “Napier District Scheme” should be addressed to the Town Clerk and delivered at the Town Clerk’s office on or before the 4th day of November 1956.

APPLICATION FOR CHANGE OF INTAKE OF LICENCE FOR WATER RACE

WE, Bruce Cunningham Greer, of Patearoa, Farmer, and Allan Walter Jackson Greer, of Kyeburn, Farmer, hereby give notice that we have applied for a change of intake of licence for water race No. 5676 to a point in Mann’s Creek in Section 4, Block II, Swinburn District, about 2 chains 62 ft. from the western boundary of said Section 4, the course of the race to run from such point in a westerly direction through said Section 4 and Section 3, Block II, Swinburn District, to the original commencing point of the said race.

The application and all objections thereto will be heard on Wednesday, 5 September 1956, at 10 a.m., at the Warden’s Court at Cromwell, and all objections must be filed in the Registrar’s office and notified to the applicants or their solicitors at least three days before the time so appointed.
