ROTORUA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Reporoa War Memorial Hall Loan 1955, £7,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Rotorua County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of seven thousand pounds (£7,000), to be known as Reporoa War Memorial Hall Loan 1955, £7,000, authorised to be raised by the Rotorua County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a War Memorial Hall at Reporoa, the said Rotorua County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-sixth of a penny (⅙d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Reporoa Riding of the County of Rotorua; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until such loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Rotorua County Council held on the 21st day of August 1956.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Reserves Development Loan (No. 3) 1956, £24,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-four thousand pounds (£24,000) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of developing reserves, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two hundred and seventy-two thousandths of a penny (0·272d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on the 27th day of August 1956.

TAKAPUNA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE

Takapuna Streets Improvements Loan 1952 (£200,000), Part Issue of £20,000

THE following resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Takapuna Borough Council held on the 21st day of August 1956:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on that portion of the Takapuna Streets Improvements Loan 1952, £200,000, being the sum of twenty thousand pounds (£20,000) authorised to be raised by the Takapuna Borough Council by way of special loan under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of carrying out permanent improvements to streets, including, where necessary, formation of streets to permanent levels, kerbing and channelling, bitumen sealing, and the provision of stormwater drains within the Borough of Takapuna, the Takapuna Borough Council makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and thirty-four thousandths of one (1) penny in the pound (£) (134/1000d.) on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in Ward A of the Borough of Takapuna; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WAIOA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Reticulation Loan 1954, £15,000

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that at a meeting of the Wairoa Electric Power Board held on the 20th day of August 1956 the following resolution was passed:

“In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and its amendments, and of all other powers it thereunto enabling, the Wairoa Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of principal, interest, and other charges on the Board’s Reticulation Loan 1954, £15,000, authorised by the Wairoa Electric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of supplying and distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the Wairoa Electric Power District, and for such purpose to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and its amendments, and by all other powers and authorities it enabling, the Wairoa Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of point nought seven three of a penny (·073d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Wairoa Electric Power District, such special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully repaid.”

KAMO TOWN COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Kamo Town Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of eight thousand five hundred pounds (£8,500) authorised to be raised by the Kamo Town Council under the above-mentioned Act for the erection of a War Memorial Hall, the said Kamo Town Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny (1d.) in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property comprising the whole of the Town District of Kamo; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 15th day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Kamo Town Council on the 4th day of July 1956.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Drainage (Harbour Reclamation) Loan 1956, £10,900

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of ten thousand nine hundred (£10,900) authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of carrying out drainage works in connection with the reclamation of land near Seaview, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and sixteen thousandths of one penny (0·116d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on or about the 1st day of August in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Lower Hutt City Council held on the 27th day of August 1956.
