ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 8th day of
August 1956
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs the sale of
the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being
no longer required for the public work for which it was taken.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold:
28Β·2 perches.
Railway land, being part of Section 36, District of Waimea
South, situated in Block IX, Waimea Survey District, Waimea
County. (S.O. 9965.)
In the Nelson Land District; as the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked L.O. 14136 deposited in the
office of the New Zealand Railways Commission at Wellington,
and thereon coloured blue.

Amending Orders in Council Authorising the Bay of Islands
Electric Power Board to Construct and Use Electric Lines

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Electric
Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-
General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council, hereby further amends, as set forth in the
Schedule hereto, clause 2 of the Schedule to the Order in
Council dated the 8th day of March 1939 and published in
the Gazette on the 9th day of the same month, at page 352,
authorising the Bay of Islands Electric Power Board to construct and use electric lines (as substituted by an Order in
Council dated the 14th day of January 1948 and published
in the Gazette on the 23rd day of the same month, at page
67); and further, hereby further amends, as set forth in the
Schedule hereto, clause 3 of the First Schedule to the Order
in Council dated the 4th day of December 1946 and published
in the Gazette on the 12th day of the same month, at page
1864, authorising the Bay of Islands Electric Power Board to
construct and use further electric lines (as substituted by the
said Order in Council dated the 14th day of January 1948).
SCHEDULE
IN the second paragraph the expression "33,000 volts and"
is inserted after the words "The primary distribution voltages
shall be".

Adding Lands to the Abel Tasman National Park

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 8th day of
August 1956
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 10 of the National Parks Act 1952,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
declares that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall
as from the date hereof be added to and form part of the
Abel Tasman National Park, and shall hereafter be managed,
administered, and dealt with by the Abel Tasman National
Park Board in accordance with the provisions of the said Act.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT
PART I
Crown Land Subject to the Provisions of the Land Act 1948
ALL those areas of Crown land comprising islands, islets,
rocks, and reefs in Tasman Bay situated within the area
bounded as follows: commencing at Separation Point in
Block II, Totaranui Survey District; thence along a right line
due east for a distance of one and one half miles; thence
generally in a southerly direction along a line distant one
and one half miles from the sea coast to a point on the
production of the north-eastern boundary of Section 5, Block
VI, Kaiteriteri Survey District; thence in a north-westerly
direction along that production to the sea coast; thence
generally in a northerly direction along the sea coast to the
point of commencement.
As shown on the plan marked L. and S. 4/810B deposited
in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at
Wellington, and thereon in outline bordered red.

Scenic Reserve Subject to the Reserves and Domains Act
1953
SECTION 8, Block XII, Kaiteriteri Survey District (known as
Ngaio Island): Area, 2 acres, more or less.

2nd Lieutenant G. W. Leaming relinquishes the appointment
of Assistant Counter Bombardment Officer, ceases to be
attached to the Auckland Grammar School Cadets, and
resigns his commission. Dated 10 June 1956.
2nd Lieutenant (on prob.) D. McD. Rout, from the 3rd
Field Regiment, R.N.Z.A., and attached to the Naenae College Cadets, to be 2nd Lieutenant (on prob.), with seniority from 15 April 1953, and is appointed Staff Captain. Dated
