AUCKLAND METROPOLITAN DRAINAGE BOARD

SPECIAL ORDER.

Loan No. 21, 1956, £20,000

THE Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board, in exercise of
the powers vested in it by the Auckland Metropolitan
Drainage Act 1944, and in pursuance of the authority con-
f erred on it under the Local Bodies' Finance Act 1921-22,
the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Local Government
Loans Board Act 1926, and their respective amendments, and
in exercise of all other powers enabling it in that behalf,
doth hereby resolve by special resolution intended to operate
as a special order to borrow the sum of £20,000 (twenty
thousand pounds) to be designated "Loan No. 21, 1956,
£20,000" for the purpose of repaying the balance of the
Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board Loan No. 11, 1936,
£104,000—Portion £50,000 falling due on the 1st day of
September 1956.

The foregoing special order was made by way of a special
resolution passed at a special meeting of the Board held on
the 4th day of July 1956. It was publicly notified in the
Auckland Star on the 7th and 21st days of July 1956 and con-
firmed at the annual meeting of the Board held on the 1st
day of August 1956.

The common seal of the Auckland Metropolitan Drainage
Board was hereto affixed this 1st day of August 1956 in the
presence of—

HOWICK BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF DISTRICT SCHEME

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Howick Borough
Council has resolved to prepare for the Howick Borough
a district scheme, as required by the provisions of the Town
and Country Planning Act 1953.

Every person and every local authority in the district is
hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its
opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the
proposed scheme.

Proposals marked "Howick District Scheme" should be
addressed to the Town Clerk and delivered at the Town
Clerk's office on or before the 15th day of October 1956.

NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL

An Act to reconstitute the Boy Scouts Association (New
Zealand Branch) Incorporated and to change its name.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Boy Scouts Association
(New Zealand Branch) Incorporated intends to apply
by petition to the General Assembly of New Zealand at its
present session for leave to apply to bring in a private Bill,
the short title of which is "An Act to reconstitute the Boy
Scouts Association (New Zealand Branch) Incorporated and
to change its name", to effect the following objects:

(a) To change the name and constitution of the body
corporate incorporated under the provisions of the Boy Scouts
Association (New Zealand Branch) Incorporation Act 1941
and to adopt the name "The Boy Scouts Association of New
Zealand" as the name of the said body corporate.

(b) To provide for the formal recording of such change
of name in all instruments, titles, and other documents.

(c) To vest in the Boy Scouts Association of New Zealand
all the properties and the powers and authorities vested
in the Boy Scouts Association (New Zealand Branch)
Incorporated.

(d) To provide for the adoption, registration, and amend-
ment of the constitution and bylaws of the Boy Scouts
Association of New Zealand.

(e) To repeal the Boy Scouts Association (New Zealand
Branch) Incorporation Act 1941.

The promoter of the Bill is the Boy Scouts Association
(New Zealand Branch) Incorporated whose address for the
service of communications or notices is at the offices of
Messrs Luke, Cunningham, and Clere, Solicitors, 328
Lambton Quay, Wellington C. 1.

Copies of the Bill may be inspected at the office of the
promoters at 159-161 Vivian Street, Wellington C. 3, or at
the offices of its solicitors, Messrs Luke, Cunningham, and
Clere, 328 Lambton Quay, Wellington C. 1.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday
evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be
received by the Government Printer before 12 o'clock of the
day preceding publication.

Subscriptions.—The subscription is at the rate of £5 5s. per
calendar year, including postage, Payable in Advance.

Single copies of the Gazette as follows:

For the first 16 pages, 6d., increasing by 6d. for every
subsequent 8 pages or part thereof.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for
the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any
subsequent insertions.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.

STATUTORY REGULATIONS

Under the Regulations Act 1936 statutory regulations of
general legislative force are no longer published in the New
Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of
the following arrangements:

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing),
subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram,
£1 10s. (Volumes for years 1936-37 and 1939-42 are
out of print.)

(3) Serially as issued and annual bound volume, as in (1)
and (2) above, on combined subscription basis, £3 3s.
per calendar year in advance.

(4) Separate regulations as issued.

The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating
the purchase of extra copies.

Orders should be placed with the Government Printer,
Publications Branch, Wellington C. 1. Separate copies of
regulations may also be purchased from the Printing and
Stationery Department, 130 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, or
from the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.
