RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Main Highways Loan 1956, £100,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest and other loan charges on a loan of £100,000, authorised to be raised by the Raglan County Council under authority of the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and the Counties Act 1920 for the purpose of meeting the Council's share of the cost of sealing and reconstructing main highways, the said Raglan County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nought point eight eight pence (0.88d.) in the pound on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property comprising the whole of the County of Raglan; such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be paid yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully repaid.”
The above resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Raglan County Council held on 30 July 1956.

Plant Loan 1956, £15,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the half-yearly instalments of principal and interest and other loan charges on a loan of £15,000, authorised to be raised by the Raglan County Council under authority of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and the Counties Act 1920 for the purpose of purchasing plant and equipment, the said Raglan County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of nought point one six pence (0.16d.) in the pound on the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property comprising the whole of the County of Raglan; such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be paid yearly on the first day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of eight (8) years, or until the loan is fully repaid.”
The above resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Raglan County Council held on 30 July 1956.

BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Library Loan 1956, £20,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and amendments thereto, and all other Acts and powers enabling it in that behalf, the Council of the Borough of Blenheim doth hereby resolve as follows:
“That, for the purpose of securing the interest and other charges on a loan of £20,000 authorised to be raised by the Blenheim Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of erecting and furnishing a new library within the Borough of Blenheim, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two hundred and forty-two one thousandths of a penny (0.242d.) in the pound (£) upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property within the Borough of Blenheim; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate payable on demand in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the said loan is fully paid off, and the said Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge the said special rate as security for the above loan.”
I hereby certify that the above resolution was passed at a meeting of the Blenheim Borough Council held on the 25th day of July 1956.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Wellington City Street Works Loan 1955 of £550,000
THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 6th day of August 1956:
“In pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and its amendments, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest sinking fund repayment of principal and other charges on a loan of five hundred and fifty thousand pounds (£550,000) to be known as the Wellington City Street Works Loan 1955 of £550,000 authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reconstructing, strengthening, and improving roads and streets in the city, the Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two hundred and twenty-seven eight-hundredths of a penny (227/800d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twelve (12) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Wellington City Housing Development Loan 1955 of £65,000
THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 6th day of August 1956:
“In pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and its amendments, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest sinking fund repayment of principal and other charges on a loan of sixty-five thousand pounds (£65,000) to be known as the Wellington City Housing Development Loan 1955 of £65,000 authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of developing the Townsend Estate Block at Miramar, the Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of twenty-six eight-hundredths of a penny (26/800d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and their respective amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work, namely, for a street at Curtis Street in the City of Wellington, and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the Municipal Offices Building, Mercer Street, in the said city, and is there open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours, and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such lands should, if they have well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, set forth the same in writing and send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Wellington City Council addressed to the Town Clerk at his said office.
