Varying a Notice Declaring Parts of a Tribal District to be Tribal Committee Areas Under the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945

PURSUANT to section 14 of the Maori Social and Economic Advancement Act 1945, the Minister of Maori Affairs hereby varies the notice dated 19 August 1948 and published in the Gazette on 26 August, at page 1061, declaring parts of the Kurahaupo South Tribal District to be Tribal Committee areas for the purposes of the said Act by excluding from the Schedule thereto the description of the Whangaehu Tribal Committee area and substituting therefor the descriptions appearing in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

RATANA TRIBAL COMMITTEE AREA

ALL that area containing together 67 acres 2 roods 17·6 perches, more or less, comprising: firstly, Blocks 1 to 27 inclusive, 28A, 28B, and 30, being part Waipu 1c 1, 1D 1, and 1D 3 Blocks, situated in Block XIV, Ikitara Survey District, and being all the land shown on the plan No. W.D. 3975A, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Wellington; secondly, Block 29, being parts of Waipu 1D 1, 1D 2, and 1D 3 Blocks, situated in Block XIV, Ikitara Survey District, and being all the land shown on the plan No. 3975B lodged as aforesaid; thirdly, part Waipu 1c and 1c 1 Blocks, situated in Block XIV, Ikitara Survey District, being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 576, folio 281, Wellington Registry.

WHANGAEHU TRIBAL COMMITTEE AREA

As described in Gazette, 1948, at page 1061, with the addition of: "excepting thereout the Ratana Tribal Committee Area as hereinbefore described".
