HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Authorising the Laying-off of a Street Off Wesley Avenue in the Borough of Mount Albert

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Mount Albert Borough Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft., but not less than 40 ft., subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on Lot 15 of a subdivision of the land shown edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 150950 referred to in the Schedule hereto, within a distance of 33 ft. from the centre line of the said street, or on Lots 1 to 14 (both inclusive) of the subdivision of the land shown edged green on the said plan within a distance of 45 ft. from the centre line of the said street.

SCHEDULE

THAT proposed street in the North Auckland Land District, Borough of Mount Albert, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 15 perches, more or less, being part Lot 18, D.P. 9862, being part Allotment 37, Parish of Titirangi.

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 150950 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Licensing Frank Brent to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore at Mill Bay, Mangonui Harbour, as a Site for a Pipeline

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby licenses and permits Frank Brent (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his administrators, executors, or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Mill Bay, in Mangonui Harbour, as shown on plan marked M.D. 10042 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining a pipeline thereon as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

  1. This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
  2. The premium payable by the licensee shall be five pounds (£5) and the annual sum so payable shall be one pound (£1).
  3. The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of August 1956.

PURSUANT to section 16 of the New Zealand Army Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Army:

HEADQUARTERS, N.Z. DIVISION

Captain W. J. A. Stewart, O.B.E., 1st Transport Company, R.N.Z.A.S.C., is seconded and is appointed D.A.Q.M.G., Headquarters, N.Z. Division. Dated 1 July 1956.

THE ROYAL N.Z. ARTILLERY

Territorial Force

2nd Field Regiment, R.N.Z.A.

Major A. J. Denby, from the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, 2nd Field Regiment, R.N.Z.A., to be Major, with seniority from 29 May 1954. Dated 1 April 1956.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) R. F. Horsley, from the 2nd Armoured Regiment, R.N.Z.A.C., to be Lieutenant (temp. Captain), with seniority as Lieutenant 3 February 1953, and as temp. Captain 3 February 1955. Dated 28 May 1956.

Lieutenant (temp. Captain) S. L. Reed relinquishes the temp. rank of Captain, and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, 2nd Field Regiment, R.N.Z.A., in the rank of Lieutenant, with seniority from 16 February 1947. Dated 6 June 1956.
