PURSUANT to subsection (5) of section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land, being closed street, described in the First Schedule hereto, to be added to the endowment described in the Second Schedule hereto.

Altering the Boundaries of the Central Hawke’s Bay and Dannevirke Electric Power Districts

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby alter the boundaries of the Central Hawke’s Bay and Dannevirke Electric Power Districts by excluding the area described in the First Schedule hereto from the Dannevirke Electric Power District and including such area in the Central Hawke’s Bay Electric Power District, and by excluding the area described in the Second Schedule hereto from the Central Hawke’s Bay Electric Power District and including such area in the Dannevirke Electric Power District; and further, I hereby declare that the boundaries of the Central Hawke’s Bay and Dannevirke Electric Power Districts shall henceforth be those described in the Third and Fourth Schedules hereto respectively.

FIRST SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Dannevirke County, situated in Blocks I and II, Takapau Survey District, containing approximately 340 acres and bounded by a line commencing at the south-western corner of Rakautatahi 1c 2b Block; thence northerly along the western boundary of that block and the crossing of the intersecting public road to the southern side of the Makaretu River Road; thence westerly along that road-side to a point in line with the western boundary of Rakautatahi A 1 Block; thence northerly to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of the Makaretu River, being a point on the boundary of the Waipawa County as described in the Gazette of 1930, at page 2684; thence easterly, southerly, and south-westerly along the boundary of the Waipawa County to a point in the middle of the Napier–Palmerston North State Highway in line with the southern boundary of Rakautatahi 1c 2c Block; thence westerly to and along that boundary and the southern boundary of Rakautatahi 1c 2D Block to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned block, being the point of commencement. As the said area is shown outlined in red on the plan marked S.H.D. 389 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Waipawa County, situated in Block IV, Makaretu Survey District, containing approximately 536 acres and bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Makaretu River in line with the eastern boundary of Block 89, Makaretu Crown Grant District; thence westerly up the middle of that river to a point in line with the western boundary of Block 130, Makaretu Crown Grant District; thence northerly to and along that boundary and easterly along the northern boundary of the said Block 130 to and across a public road to the south-western corner of Block 133, Makaretu Crown Grant District; thence northerly and easterly and again northerly and easterly along the western and northern boundaries of the said Block 133 and the crossings of the intersecting public roads to the eastern boundary of the said Block 133; thence southerly along that boundary, the crossings of intersecting public roads and the eastern boundaries of Blocks 183 and 89, Makaretu Crown Grant District, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Makaretu River, being the point of commencement. As the said area is shown outlined in red on the plan marked S.H.D. 390 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.
