NOTICE OF MEETING OF CREDITORS

NOTICE is hereby given that St. Johns Bakeries Limited will, on the 25th day of July 1956, by an entry in the minute book of the company pursuant to section 300 of the Companies Act 1933, pass a resolution for a creditors' winding-up, and that a meeting of creditors of the said company will be held pursuant to section 300 of the Companies Act 1933 on the 3rd day of August 1956, at 10.30 a.m. in the forenoon, at 606 Colonial Mutual Building, Queen Street, Auckland, at which meeting a full statement of the position of the company's affairs, together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims, will be laid before the meeting and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 235 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be liquidator of the company and in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act may appoint a committee of inspection.

RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING CONSOLIDATED RATE

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, at a meeting of the Hamilton City Council held on 11 July 1956, the following resolution was passed by way of special order, and that such order will be confirmed at a meeting of the Council to be held at the Council Chambers, Alma Street, at 7 p.m., on Wednesday, 8 August 1956:

“In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Hamilton City Council Special Rates Consolidation Act 1955, the Hamilton City Council hereby resolves, by way of special order, to make and levy a consolidated rate of threepence and twenty hundredths of a penny (3·20d.) in the pound on the rateable value, unimproved, of all rateable property in the City of Hamilton, such consolidated rate to be in lieu of any special rates made and levied before the date of this resolution, whether over the whole City of Hamilton or over any defined portion or portions thereof, to provide for interest and other charges on the under-mentioned loans, and that such consolidated rate shall be an annual-recurring rate, and be due and payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year until the said loans are fully paid off.”
