Declaring Public Highway to be Main Highway

PURSUANT to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953,
the National Roads Board, acting with the written
approval of the Minister of Works, hereby gives notice as
follows:

1. The public highway described in the Schedule hereto
   is hereby declared to be main highway within the meaning
   and for the purposes of the National Roads Act 1953.
2. This notice shall come into force on the date of its
   publication in the Gazette.

SCHEDULE

ROADS COUNCIL DISTRICT No. 2A
Whangarata.-All that public highway in the Borough of
Tuakau, commencing at its junction with the Pukekohe-
Glen Murray Main Highway at the south-western corner of
Section 58 of Suburbs of Tuakau, Block IV, Onewhero Sur-
vey District, and proceeding thence generally in an easterly
direction via Whangarata Road and terminating at the eastern
boundary of the Borough of Tuakau opposite the south-
eastern corner of Lot 2, D.P. 42754, being a distance of 24
chains, more or less; as the same is more particularly deline-
ated on plan P.W.D. 150801 deposited in the office of the
National Roads Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured
red.
Also all that public highway in the County of Franklin,
commencing at the eastern boundary of the Borough of
Tuakau opposite the south-eastern corner of Lot 2, D.P.
42754, and proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly
direction and terminating at a point opposite the south-eastern
corner of Lot 2, D.P. 13796, Block IV, Onewhero Survey
District, being a distance of 54 chains, more or less; as the
same is more particularly delineated on plan P.W.D. 150802
deposited in the office of the National Roads Board at Wel-
lington, and thereon coloured red.

Revoking Declaration of Main Highway and Declaring
Public Highway to be Main Highway

PURSUANT to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953,
the National Roads Board, acting with the written
approval of the Minister of Works, hereby gives notice as
follows:

1. (1) The public highway described in the First Schedule
   hereto shall cease to be main highway.
   (2) The Order in Council made on the 24th day of March
   1952,* declaring (inter alia) the said highway to be a main
   highway is hereby consequentially amended by revoking so
   much of the Second Schedule thereto as relates to the said
   highway.
2. The public highway described in the Second Schedule
   hereto is hereby declared to be a main highway within the
   meaning and for the purposes of the National Roads Act
4. This notice shall come into force on the date of its
   publication in the Gazette.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ROADS COUNCIL DISTRICT No. 2A
ALL that public highway declared as the Whangaparaoa Main
Highway as described in Order in Council dated 24 March
1952.*

SECOND SCHEDULE

ROADS COUNCIL DISTRICT No. 2A
Whangaparaoa.-All that public highway in the County of
Waitemata, commencing at the south-western corner of Lot 1,
D.P. 41670, being portion of Allotment 33, Waiwera Parish,
and being a point of junction with the Birkenhead-Maunga-
turoto State Highway and proceeding thence generally in an
easterly direction and terminating at the northernmost corner
of Lot 455, D.P. 47817, being portion of Allotment 18, Wai-
wera Parish, being a distance of 6 miles 6 chains, more or
less; as the same is more particularly delineated on plan
P.W.D. 150810 deposited in the office of the National Roads
Board at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Retailers' Licences Under the Sales Tax Act 1932-33 Granted,
Surrendered, or Revoked

PURSUANT to the Sales Tax Act 1932-33, the Comptroller of
Customs hereby gives notice that licences to act as manu-
facturing retailers have been granted to the licensees mentioned in
the First Schedule hereto, and that the licences to act as manu-
facturing retailers granted to the licensees mentioned in the Second
Schedule hereto have been surrendered or revoked.
