HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the portion of road described in the Schedule shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become county road:
SCHEDULE
ALL that portion of road in the Canterbury Land District, Cheviot County, commencing at its junction with Jed Road (Mina–Gore Bay Main Highway No. 148), situated in Block VII, Cheviot Survey District, and proceeding thence in a north-westerly direction generally, adjoining or passing through the bed of the Jed River, Rural Section 37509 (Cheviot Hills Farm Settlement), Reserve 4524, Reserve 4517, and Rural Section 37510 (Cheviot Hills Farm Settlement), and terminating at the northernmost corner of Reserve 4517 aforesaid, being a distance of 1424 links approximately, together with the bridge on this road, over the Jed River aforesaid.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 150891 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

At the Government House at Wellington this 18th day of July 1956

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves of the resolution passed by the Christchurch City Council on the 14th day of May 1956, and set out in the First Schedule hereto, in so far as it affects the sides and portions of streets described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
THE Christchurch City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Christchurch, by resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928 shall not apply to the southern side of the portion of Southwark Street adjoining part Town Reserve 94 and the northern side of portion of Allen Street adjoining part Town Reserve 94, being all of the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 4, folio 131, and part of the land contained in certificates of title, Volume 29, folio 214, and Volume 373, folio 32 (limited as to parcels), being part Town Reserve 94, City of Christchurch.
SECOND SCHEDULE
THE southern side of all that portion of street in the Canterbury Land District, City of Christchurch, known as Southwark Street, fronting part Lot 94 of the Christchurch Town Reserves.
The northern side of all that portion of street in the Canterbury Land District, City of Christchurch, known as Allen Street, fronting part Lot 94 of the Christchurch Town Reserves.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 150898 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Revoking a Notice Setting Land Apart for a Police Station

PURSUANT to the Mining Act 1926, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the notice dated 18 March 1942 and published in Gazette, 26 March 1942, page 903, setting apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for a police station.
SCHEDULE
ALL that area in the Nelson Land District containing by admeasurement 1 rood 16 perches, more or less, and being Section 45, Waiuta Township, Block XIII, Waitahu Survey District. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked N. 6/116, deposited in the Head Office of the Mines Department at Wellington, and thereon in outline coloured red.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 10th day of July 1956.
