Declaring Lands in Hawke's Bay and Otago Land Districts Vested in the Hawke's Bay and Otago Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Proclamation, declare that any school site or part of a school site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty, and thereupon the school site, or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation:

Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the First Schedule hereto, being areas vested in the Hawke's Bay Education Board, and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Otago Education Board, as sites for public schools, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

FIRST SCHEDULE

HAWKE'S BAY LAND DISTRICT

Lot 1, D.P. 9145, being part Section 16, Block III, Woodville Survey District: Area, 1 acre 3 roods 6 perches, more or less. Part certificate of title, H.B. Volume 19, folio 165.

Also Lot 1, D.P. 9146, being part Section 14, Block I, Woodville Survey District: Area, 3 acres 2 roods 23 perches, more or less. All certificates of title, H.B. Volume 19, folios 169 and 191.

SECOND SCHEDULE

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT

PART Section 1 (now known as Section 9), Block I, Town of Heriot: Area, 2 acres 3 roods 13ยท8 perches, more or less. (S.O. Plan 12257.)

Crown Land Set Apart for a Secondary School in Block X, Tauranga Survey District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for a secondary school; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 23rd day of July 1956.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart: 11 acres and 8 perches.

Being Section 2, Block X, Tauranga Survey District. Formerly all leasehold certificate of title, Volume 367, folio 173, Auckland Land Registry.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 16th day of July 1956.

Crown Land Set Apart for State Housing Purposes in Block X, Christchurch Survey District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for State housing purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 23rd day of July 1956.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart: 3 acres and 0ยท2 perches.

Being closed road in Proclamation No. 411769, Canterbury Land Registry.

Situated in Block X, Christchurch Survey District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 17th day of July 1956.
