Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Revoking a Licence Authorising Hazel Vera Ward, of Newton Flat, Hotelkeeper, to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity and to Erect Certain Electric Lines

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and with the consent of the licensee, hereby revokes the Order in Council dated the 8th day of December 1943 and published in the Gazette on the 16th day of the same month at page 1491, authorising Thomas Mooney, of Newton Flat, Hotelkeeper, to use water for the purpose of generating electricity and to erect certain electric lines, the rights, powers, and privileges under the said Order in Council having been assigned to Elizabeth Mooney, of Newton Flat, Widow, and by the said Elizabeth Mooney to Hazel Vera Ward, of Newton Flat, Hotelkeeper.

Amending a Licence Authorising the Department of Tourist and Health Resorts to Erect and Use Electric Lines

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends, as set forth in the Schedule hereto, the Order in Council dated the 17th day of December 1952 and published in the Gazette on the 15th day of January 1953, at page 19, authorising the Department of Tourist and Health Resorts to erect and use electric lines within portion of the County of Rotorua.

SCHEDULE

  1. The following area is excluded from the area of supply described in the Schedule thereto:

“All that area in the South Auckland Land District, being part of the County of Rotorua, bounded by a line commencing at a point, being the point of intersection of the eastern boundary of the Rotorua County with the middle of the Ngatamawahine Stream, in Block II, Kaingaroa Survey District; thence southerly and westerly along the said county boundary to the eastern side of Goudie’s Forestry Road; thence northerly along the eastern side of the said road to its intersection with the Rotorua-Waikaremoana State Highway; thence northerly again along a right line between the said intersection and Te Rere Trig. Station to the middle of the Ngatamawahine Stream; thence easterly generally along the middle of the said stream to its intersection with the eastern boundary of the Rotorua County, being the point of commencement. As the said area is shown outlined in blue on the plan marked S.H.D. 396 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.”

  1. The following areas are added to the area of supply described in the Schedule thereto:

“All that area in the South Auckland Land District, being part of the Whakatane County, bounded by a line commencing at the north-western corner of Block XI, Ruawahia Survey District, being also a point on the western boundary of the Whakatane County; thence south-easterly along a right line to the south-eastern corner of the said Block XI; thence south-westerly along another right line to the north-eastern corner of Pokohu C 1 Block in Block XV, Ruawahia Survey District; thence south-westerly again along the south-eastern boundary of the said Pokohu C 1 Block to the northern boundary of the State forest in Block XV, Ruawahia Survey District; thence easterly along the said boundary of the State forest for a distance of 10013·2 links to the eastern boundary of the Rerewhakaitu Land Development Block; thence southerly generally along the eastern boundary of the said development block and its production to the middle of the Ngatamawahine Stream in Block III, Kaingaroa Survey District; thence westerly along the middle of the said stream to the western boundary of the Whakatane County; thence northerly along the said county boundary to the north-western corner of Block XI, Ruawahia Survey District, being the point of commencement. As the said area is shown outlined in red on the said plan S.H.D. 396.

“All that area in the South Auckland Land District, being part of the Taupo County, bounded by a line commencing at the south-eastern corner of Kaingaroa No. 1A North Block in Block VI, Weao Survey District; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of the said Kaingaroa No. 1A North Block, Paeroa East No. 3c Block, and part Paeroa East No. 3A Block, to the generally northern boundary of the Taupo County; thence northerly and easterly generally along the said county boundary to the eastern side of Goudie’s Forestry Road in Block IX, Kaingaroa Survey District; thence southerly along the eastern side of the said road to the north-eastern boundary of Kaingaroa No. 1A North Block; thence south-easterly generally along the north-eastern and eastern boundaries of the said block to its south-eastern corner, being the point of commencement. As the said area is shown outlined in red on the said plan S.H.D. 396.”

to be members of, and representatives of producers on, the Nelson Raspberry Marketing Committee established under the said regulations.
