All that area in the Gisborne and Hawke's Bay Land Districts and bounded as follows:
Commencing at a point on the Cook County boundary where the middle line of the Waipaoa River meets the mean high-water mark of the sea in Block IX, Turanganui Survey District; thence in a north-westerly direction generally by the middle of the said Waipaoa River and the Te Arai River to a point in the middle of the Gisborne-Wairoa via Morere State Highway No. 49; thence in a south-westerly direction generally by the middle of the said State highway, by the middle of the Manutuke-Mangapoike Main Highway No. 541, by the middle of the Pakowhai Road to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 11, Block V, Turanganui Survey District (Te Arai Settlement); thence to and by the southern boundaries of said Section 11, Sections 10 and 9, the eastern and southern boundaries of Section 8, the southern boundary of Section 7, Block V, Turanganui Survey District (Te Arai Settlement), the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 2626, the south-eastern boundaries of part Section 9A, Sections 8A and 7A, Block VIII, Patutahi Survey District (Te Arai Settlement), Lot 1, D.P. 4397, Sections 5, 4, and 3, Block VIII, Patutahi Survey District (Te Arai Settlement), the eastern boundaries of Sections 2A and 6, Block XII, Patutahi Survey District (Te Arai Settlement), produced to the middle of Taurau Valley Road; again south-westerly by the middle of the said Taurau Valley Road to a point opposite the north-eastern corner of Section 12, Block XII, Patutahi Survey District (Te Arai Settlement); thence south-easterly to and by the north-eastern boundary of said Section 12, south-westerly by the south-eastern boundaries of said Section 12, Sections 11 and 10, Block XII, Patutahi Survey District (Te Arai Settlement), to the southernmost corner of the said Section 10; thence in a southerly direction generally by the north-eastern boundaries of part Te Rangaia Ohinehau No. 2 Block, Section 4, and of Section 5, Maraetaha No. 2 Block (D.P. 514), again by the south-eastern boundary of Section 4, Maraetaha No. 2 Block aforesaid, the south-eastern boundary of the western part of Section 3, Maraetaha No. 2 Block (D.P. 514), the eastern boundary of Puninga 5B 2 Block, the southern boundaries of said Puninga 5B 2 Block, and of Puninga 5B 1, 5A, 4B 2, 4B 1, and 4A Blocks, the eastern boundary of Puninga 3A 1 Block, the north-eastern boundary of Maraetaha 2C Block produced to the middle of the Puninga Stream; thence southerly generally by the middle of the said Puninga Stream to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of SGR. 40, being a point on the Cook County boundary as described in Gazette 1956, pages 410 and 411; thence first south-easterly by the said boundary to the mean high-water mark of the sea; thence in a northerly direction generally by the Cook County boundary, being the mean high-water mark of the sea, to the middle of the Waipaoa River, being the point of commencement.
ORMOND RIDING
All that area in the Gisborne Land District and bounded as follows:
Commencing at the north-easternmost corner of Section 15, Block II, Waimata Survey District, being a point on the Cook County boundary; thence in a westerly and southerly direction generally by the said Cook County boundary as described in Gazette 1956, pages 410 and 411, to a point in the middle of the Waipaoa River, being a point in line with the middle of the Pouaru Stream; thence in a southerly direction generally by the middle of the Waipaoa River to a point in line with the production of the south-western boundary of Lot 24, D.P. 712; thence in a south-easterly direction to and by the south-western boundaries of Lots 24 and 23, D.P. 712, produced to the middle of Bloomfield Road; thence in a northeasterly direction by the middle of the said road to its junction with Bushmere Road; thence in a south-easterly direction by the middle of Bushmere Road to its junction with Farmers Road; thence in a north-easterly direction by the middle of the said Farmers Road to its junction with the Whakatane-Gisborne via Waioeka State Highway No. 20; thence in a northerly direction generally by the middle of the said State highway to its junction with the Gisborne-Ormond via Waiohika Main Highway No. 330; thence in an easterly direction by the middle of the said main highway to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 8, D.P. 1994, in Block I, Waimata Survey District; thence in a north-easterly direction generally to and by the north-eastern boundary aforesaid, by the eastern boundaries of Lots 4, 3, 2, 1, D.P. 1994, Section 75, Ormond Rural, by the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 72 and 73, Ormond Rural, Lots 1 and 2 of Section 74, Ormond Rural, D.P. 926, parts Ngakoroa C 1B and C 2 Blocks, and the south-eastern boundaries of Ngakoroa D and E Blocks to the north-eastern corner of Ngakoroa E Block (Trigonometrical Station C Kopaatuaki) situated in Block XI, Waimata Survey District; then in a northerly direction generally by the eastern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 2438, Lot 4. D.P. 3475, part Lot 1, D.P. 2694, part Lot 1, D.P. 2806, Lot 1, D.P. 3475; by the south-eastern and north-eastern boundaries of Section 16, Block VI, Waimata Survey District, and the north-eastern boundary of Section 15, Block II, Waimata Survey District, to its northernmost corner, being the point of commencement.
PAKARAE RIDING
All that area in the Gisborne Land District and bounded as follows:
Commencing at a point where the north-eastern boundary of Pakarae 1A Block meets the mean high-water mark of the sea in Block XI, Whangara Survey District, being a point on the Cook County boundary; thence in a north-westerly direction generally by the Cook County boundary as described in Gazette 1956, pages 410 and 411, to the most southerly point of Lot 8, D.P. 2342, in Block I, Whangara Survey District; thence in a southerly direction generally by the eastern boundary of part Lot 2, D.P. 2620, the northern boundary of part Lot 1, D.P. 2620, produced to the middle of the Otawai-wai Stream, by the middle of the said stream to a point in line with the southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 2620; thence to and by the said southern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 2620, produced to the middle of a public road; thence north-westerly generally, then south-westerly generally by the middle of the said public road to a point opposite the northernmost corner of the severed portion of part Lot 2, D.P. 2620; thence to and by the eastern boundary of said part Lot 2 produced to the middle of the aforesaid public road; again by the middle of the said public road following its western branch to a point opposite the northern corner of the southern severance of Section 35, Block V, Whangara Survey District (Wharekiri Farm Settlement); thence due west to the said northern corner of the said severed portion of Section 35, which is a point on the eastern boundary of Section 29, Block VIII, Waimata Survey District; thence southerly and easterly by the said eastern boundary of Section 29 produced to the middle of the aforesaid public road; thence in a south-westerly direction generally by the middle of the said public road to its intersection with the north-western boundary of part Lot 1, D.P. 3312; thence in a north-easterly direction generally to and by the north-western boundary of said part Lot 1 and Lot 2, D.P. 3312, to Trigonometrical Station 153; thence in a southerly direction generally by the eastern boundary of aforesaid Lot 2, D.P. 3312, the eastern boundary of Waimata South 2A Block, across a public road, again by the eastern boundary of said Waimata South 2A Block, across Section 2x, Block IX, Whangara Survey District, the eastern boundary of Waimata South 2B Block, across a public road, again by the eastern boundary of Waimata South 2B Block, across a public road, again by the eastern boundary of Waimata South 2B Block, the eastern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 2754, produced to the middle of the Pouawa River; thence south-easterly generally down the middle of the said Pouawa River to its intersection with the mean high-water mark of the sea; thence in a north-easterly direction generally by the mean high-water mark of the sea to its intersection with the north-eastern boundary of Pakarae 1A Block in Block XI, Whangara Survey District, being the point of commencement; the Pakarae Riding to include Te Ana Paikea Island.
