Assent to Agreement for Grant of Easement in Favour of Atawhai Limited, a Limited Liability Company Having its Registered Office at Te Awamutu, Over Land in Waipa County Taken for a Public School

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the 20th day of September 1955, and published in Gazette, No. 60, of the 22nd day of September 1955, at page 1515, an area of land containing approximately 4 acres 3 roods 22·8 perches, being part Allotment 173, Parish of Puniu, situated in Block VIII, Puniu Survey District, was taken for a public school:

And whereas Atawhai Limited was entitled to receive compensation for the taking of the said land:

And whereas the Minister of Works has agreed to grant to the said Atawhai Limited a right to take water from and over the aforesaid land in addition to the payment of a sum of money in full satisfaction of the compensation aforesaid:

And whereas the said Atawhai Limited has agreed to accept such grant of easement and sum of money in full satisfaction of the said compensation:

Now, therefore, the Minister of Works hereby gives notice, pursuant to section 97 of the Public Works Act 1928, that he assents to the agreement hereinbefore referred to.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940

Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations, so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall not apply to the persons hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:

A motor driver’s licence, issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the persons described in column 1 of the Schedule hereunder, may authorise them to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of their employment for the employers described in column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorise them, while they are under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.
