Pursuant to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations
Act 1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises
the East Coast Bays Borough Council to permit the laying off
of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a
width for part of its length of less than 66 ft., but not less
than 40 ft., subject to the condition that no building or part
of a building shall at any time be erected on the land shown
edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 150635, referred to
in the Schedule hereto, within a distance of 35 ft. from the
centre line of the said street.

THAT proposed street in the North Auckland Land District,
Borough of East Coast Bays, containing by admeasurement 1
rood 33·4 perches, more or less, being part Allotments 337
and 195, Parish of Takapuna.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan

the said street.

Authorising the Minister of Works to Construct and Maintain
Water-supply Works in the Valetta Water Supply District

IN COUNCIL
Whereas section 274 of the Public Works Act 1928
provides that the Governor-General may, by Order in
Council, authorise the Minister of Works to construct, maintain,
or control any water race or water-supply works, either within
or outside a mining district, which are proposed to be constructed or which have been constructed out of funds provided by Parliament: Now, therefore, pursuant to the said
section, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, hereby authorises the Minister of Works to construct,
maintain, and control the water-supply works described in the
First Schedule hereto, and also hereby declares that the
district to be served by such water-supply works (herein
referred to as the Valetta Water Supply District) shall be that
defined in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE
THE Valetta water-supply works, to provide a water supply
to the Valetta Water Supply District (described in the Second
Schedule hereto) by means of water drawn from the Rangitata diversion race and from any dam or dams which are
or may be constructed on the said Rangitata diversion race,
such water being conveyed into the said district by a water
race known as the Valetta water-supply race, and by any
enlargement or extension thereof; or by any other water
race or races constructed or acquired by the Minister of
Works in addition to or in lieu of the said Valetta water-supply race and any enlargement or extension thereof; the
said works, including all water races, dams, weirs, reservoirs,
tunnels, fluming, siphons, piping, gauge boxes, break-pressure
tanks, valves, bridges, pumps, spillways, regulating gates,
hydrants, meters, and all other works incidental to or required
for the construction, maintenance, and control of the said
works to provide a water supply to the said Valetta Water
Supply District.
