AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL
CERTIFIED COPY OF A RESOLUTION PASSED AT A MEETING OF THE AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL HELD ON THE 28TH DAY OF MAY 1956
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and amendments, the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Local Bodies' Loans Amendment Act 1951, the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926 and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £150,000 to be known as the ‘Acquisition of Properties Loan 1955’, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of purchasing land (with or without improvements thereon) required for proposed traffic outlets or in respect of which the Council is not prepared to grant a permit for the erection of any building or other structure thereon, which building or structure would contravene the Council’s Undisclosed District Scheme under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, for the provision of a Western Transport Terminal, and for the acquisition and subdivision of land for housing purposes or for any other purpose for which the said Council is authorised to acquire land and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-eighths of one penny (d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.”

WAIRARAPA SOUTH COUNTY COUNCIL
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Wairarapa South County Council at its meeting held on Thursday, 15 December 1955, has resolved to prepare for the Wairarapa South County a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.
Proposals marked “Wairarapa South County District Scheme” should be addressed to the County Clerk and delivered at the County Office, Belvedere Street, Carterton, on or before the 21st day of August 1956.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments, and in the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and in the matter of the Lower Hutt Borough Empowering Act 1927.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Lower Hutt City Council proposes by virtue of the above-mentioned Acts and of all other Acts and powers it thereunto enabling, to execute a public works, to wit, the widening of High Street in the said city, and for the purpose of such public work the Council requires to take the land more particularly described in the Schedule hereto; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the said piece of land so required to be taken is deposited at the offices of the Council situate at the corner of Laings Road and High Street in the City of Lower Hutt and is there open for inspection; and notice is hereby further given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said piece of land should if they have any well grounded objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said piece of land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice, to the Lower Hutt City Council at its offices situated as aforesaid.

ALL that piece of land situate in the City of Lower Hutt containing 2·10 perches, more or less, being part of Lot 5 on Deposited Plan No. 6494 and part of Section 25 of the Hutt District as shown coloured blue on Survey Office Plan No. 23565.

NOTICE is hereby given that “Fownes of Newtown Limited” has changed its name to “Fownes and Fownes (N.Z.) Limited”, and that the new name was this day entered on my Register of Companies in place of the former name.

Notice of Voluntary Winding-up Resolution
PURSUANT to section 222 of the Companies Act 1933, notice is hereby given that at a meeting of creditors of the above-named company, duly convened and held on the 31st day of May 1956, the following resolution was duly passed:
“Resolved:
“(1) That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue in business, and that it is advisable to wind up, and the company be wound up voluntarily.
“(2) That, in pursuance of section 235 of the Companies Act 1933, Mr Ivan Ernest Thompson, of Opotiki, be and is hereby nominated as liquidator of the company.”

The Town and Country Planning Act 1953
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Wairoa Borough Council at a meeting held on the 14th day of February 1955 resolved to prepare for the Wairoa Borough a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.
Proposals marked “Wairoa District Scheme” should be addressed to the Town Clerk and delivered at the Town Clerk’s Office, on or before the 31st day of August 1956.

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Streets Extension Loan (No. 2) 1956, £70,000
THAT, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Lower Hutt City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of seventy thousand pounds (£70,000), authorised to be raised by the Lower Hutt City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of extending streets, the said Lower Hutt City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eight hundred and fifteen thousandths of a penny (.815d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value), of all rateable property in the City of Lower Hutt, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on or about the first day of August in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is paid off.”
