PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for a gravel pit, and shall vest in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Wairarapa South as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 18th day of June 1956.
