The North Side and the South Side of Portion of an Unnamed Street, in the City of Napier, Exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928

At the Government House at Wellington this 30th day of May 1956
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves of the following resolution passed by the Napier City Council on the 26th day of September 1955, in so far as it affects the sides and portion of street described in the Schedule hereto, viz:
“The Napier City Council being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Napier by resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928 shall not apply to either side of the unnamed street adjoining all that parcel of land containing 2 roods 10 perches, more or less, being Lot 1 of Town Section 601, Town of Napier, and being all the land in certificate of title, H.B. Volume 58, folio 280 (limited as to parcels), and adjoining all those parcels of land being Lot 1 on Deposited Plan 8911 being part of the land comprised in certificates of title, H.B. Volume 18, folio 259, and Volume 73, folio 257, and that part of Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 6186, Town Section 601, comprised in certificate of title, H.B. Volume 73, folio 257, and not included in Lot 1, Deposited Plan 8911.”
SCHEDULE
THE north side and the south side of portion of an unnamed street situated in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, City of Napier, fronting part Lot 1, D.P. 8911, and part Lot 2, D.P. 6186, and part Lot 1, Town Section 601, City of Napier.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 150420 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Amending a Licence Authorising the Thames Valley Electric Power Board to Erect and Use Electric Lines

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends the Order in Council dated the 8th day of May 1951 and published in the Gazette on the 10th day of the same month, at page 640, authorising the Thames Valley Electric Power Board to erect and use electric lines in the Borough of Thames, by deleting the Schedule thereto, and substituting the following Schedule:
“SCHEDULE
“LINES for the transmission of electrical energy by the system of supply hereinbefore described:
“(a) Commencing at the intersection of the southern boundary of the Borough of Thames with Jellicoe Crescent, thence northerly along Jellicoe Crescent to Fenton Street.
“(b) Commencing at the State Hydro-electric Department’s substation in the Borough of Thames, thence southerly to and easterly along Burke Street Extension to Tararu Road, thence northerly along Tararu Road and Graham Street to the northern boundary of the Borough of Thames.
“The position of the said lines being shown by means of continuous red lines, a continuous blue line, and a broken blue line on the plan marked S.H.D. 397 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.”

The Hutt Valley Electric Power Board Electric Lines Licence 1956

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
LICENCE
-
This order may be cited as the Hutt Valley Electric Power Board Electric Lines Licence 1956.

Subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, the Hutt Valley Electric Power Board (hereinafter referred to as the licensee) is hereby authorised to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines and to construct the electric works described in the First Schedule hereto.

The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated herein and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence.

The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor, except in so far as they may be inconsistent with the provisions of this licence: Provided that the licensee shall not by virtue of this clause be required except in the normal course of alteration, repair, or maintenance, to reconstruct in conformity with the regulations hereinbefore mentioned any electric line or work which conformed to the regulations in force at the time of the construction thereof and has not become a hazardous line as described in the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.

The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (d), (f), and (h) of regulation 21–01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.

This licence shall, unless it is sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 31st day of March 1971.

The electric lines described in paragraph (1) of the First Schedule hereto shall not be used by the licensee for the purpose of supply to any consumer outside the Hutt Valley Electric Power District.

The Orders in Council specified in the Second Schedule hereto, authorising the licensee to erect and use electric lines, are hereby revoked.
FIRST SCHEDULE
(1) Three underground electric lines commencing from the State Hydro-electric Department’s substation at Khandallah in the City of Wellington and proceeding in a north-easterly direction generally along the transmission line reserve to the boundary of the Hutt Valley Electric Power District as at present constituted, the said lines being shown by means of red, green, and yellow lines on the plan marked S.H.D. 387 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.
(2) Lines for the transmission and supply of electrical energy within the Hutt Valley Electric Power District as defined in the Proclamations referred to hereunder:
