TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the committee, at its
meeting held on 15 December 1955, resolved to prepare
for the whole of the Borough of Tauranga and the defined
portion of the County of Tauranga described in the Schedule
hereto a combined district scheme as required by the pro-
visions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.
Every person and every local authority in the district
described in the Schedule hereto is hereby invited to submit
any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be con-
sidered in the preparation of the proposed scheme. Any
inquiries by ratepayers and others with respect to this pro-
posol should be made to the clerk of the local authority in
which they reside.
Proposals, marked "Joint District Scheme", should be
addressed to the undersigned and delivered to the Tauranga
Borough Council, Private Bag, Tauranga, on or before the
30th day of March 1956.

SCHEDULE

Area to Which Scheme Relates

The whole of the Borough of Tauranga and a defined
portion of the County of Tauranga bounded by a line
commencing on the east bank of the Wairoa River at the
railway bridge and proceeding in a southerly direction along
the eastern banks of the Wairoa River to the south-western
boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 12853, and thence along the south-
ern boundary of the Tauranga Survey District to the western
boundary of the Waitao Stream to the Tauranga - Te Puke
main road and thence along the northern boundary of this
road to its junction with the Mount Maunganui road and
along the western boundary of such road to the railway
line and thence in a north-westerly direction along the rail-
way line to the north-western boundary of Lot 8, Mangatawa,
and thence in a south-westerly direction along the north-
western boundary of Lots 8, 7 (a), 7 (b), and 6 to the Tau-
ranga Harbour, and thence along the foreshore of the har-
bour to the starting point.

WAIMEA COUNTY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PURSUANT to the Town and Country Planning Regula-
tions 1954, public notice is hereby given that the
amending scheme No. 6 under the Town and Country Plan-
ing Act 1953 for the Waimea County District Scheme, Stoke
Riding Section, was approved by the Council by resolution
passed at its meeting held on the 13th day of January 1956,
no objections having been received and no variations having
been made by the Council.
The Council has also resolved that the scheme shall come
into operation on the 20th day of January 1956.
Copies of the scheme as approved have been deposited in
the Council's office and may be inspected without fee by any
person who so requires at any time when the office is open
to the public.

BOROUGH OF ROTORUA

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and of all
other powers, if any, thereto enabling it, the Rotorua Borough
Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of ten thousand eight hundred pounds
(£10,800) authorised to be raised by the Rotorua Borough
Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of
erecting pensioners' flats, the said Rotorua Borough Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal nought six
six pence (0·066d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on
the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property
in the Borough of Rotorua; and that such special rate shall
be an annually recurring rate payable on demand during the
currency of the said loan and to be payable yearly on the 1st
day of April in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the
loan is fully paid off."

tion passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Rotorua
Borough Council held on the 12th day of January 1956.
