Fixing Date on Which Certain Returns Under the Fire Services Act 1949 are to be Furnished
Pursuant to section 52 of the Fire Services Act 1949, it is hereby notified that the returns required by that section (as amended by the Fire Services Amendment Act 1953) showing the amount of premiums received by or due to fire-insurance companies during the year ended 31 December 1955 shall be transmitted to the Fire Service Council in the manner prescribed by the said section on or before the 29th day of February 1956.

Time and Place of Elections by Fire-insurance Companies to Fill Extraordinary Vacancies on the Fire Boards for Ohakune, Patea, and Taihape Fire Districts
Pursuant to the provisions of the Fire Services Act 1949, the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby appoints 12 noon on Thursday, 9 February 1956, as the time, and the offices of the Fire and Accident Underwriters' Association, 97 The Terrace, Wellington, as the place, for the holding of a meeting of representatives of the insurance companies carrying on business in New Zealand to elect one member of each of the fire boards for the Ohakune, Patea, and Taihape Urban Fire Districts.

Plant Declared a Noxious Weed in Geraldine County (Notice No. Ag. 6020)
Pursuant to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Acting Director-General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said Act, hereby publishes the following special order made by the Geraldine County Council on the 5th day of December 1955.
SPECIAL ORDER
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Counties Act 1920 and the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Council of the County of Geraldine hereby resolves and declares by way of special order that nodding thistle (Carduus nutans). being a plant mentioned in the First Schedule of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, is a noxious weed within the County of Geraldine.
