Mangapiko Parish aforesaid, to and along the north-eastern
boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 16560, being part Allotments 223,
224, 225, and 226, to Frontier Road; thence northerly
generally along a right line across Frontier Road to and along
the eastern boundaries of Allotment 247, the southern and
eastern boundaries of Allotment 246, and a right line, being
that last-mentioned boundary produced, across the Te
Awamutu-Pirongia Road, to and up the left bank of the
Mangapiko Stream and the left bank of the stream forming
the eastern boundary of Lot 26, D.P. 20888, being parts
Allotments 19A, 25, 70, 334, 349, and 353, the aforesaid

FIFTH SCHEDULE

WAIPA COUNTY DISTRICT SCHEME (PIRONGIA SECTION)

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District bounded
by a line commencing at a point in Block IV, Pirongia Survey
District, being the junction of the left bank of the Mangapiko
Stream and the right bank of the Waipa River, and running
easterly generally up that bank of the said Mangapiko
stream to the eastern boundary of Allotment 526, Town of
Pirongia East; thence southerly generally along that eastern
boundary, to and along the north-western side of the Te
Awamutu-Pirongia Main Highway to a point in line with
the eastern boundary of Allotment 527; thence along a right
line across the said highway to and along the eastern
boundaries of the said Allotment 527, and of Allotments 528,
525, and 529, crossing the intervening public roads, the said
allotments being of the Town of Pirongia East aforesaid, to
the Waipa River; thence generally north-westerly down the
right bank of that river to its junction with the left bank of
the Mangapiko Stream, the point of commencement.

Town and Country Planning Act 1953—County of
Ashburton

WHEREAS extra-urban planning schemes prepared by the
Ashburton County Council in respect of those parts
of Ashburton County described in Schedules I, II, and III
hereto have been provisionally approved and sealed or have
been finally approved by the Town Planning Board under
the Town Planning Act 1926, and have been made operative
under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 as sections
of the Ashburton County District Scheme:

And whereas the Ashburton County Council proposes to
prepare by sections the district scheme for the remainder of
its district:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 20 (1) of the Town
and Country Planning Act 1953, public notice is hereby given
that approval has been granted to the Ashburton County
Council to prepare, recommend, and approve the district
scheme for the remainder of its district by two sections as
follows:

(1) Tinwald section, described in Schedule IV hereto.
(2) Rural section, which is the remainder of the county.

SCHEDULE I

ASHBURTON Extra-urban Planning Area, being a rural area
as defined in Gazette, 18 December 1947, No. 74, at page
1909.

SCHEDULE II

METHVEN Extra-urban Planning Area, commonly known as
the Township of Methven, and surrounding district as defined
in Gazette, 18 December 1947, No. 74, at page 1909.

SCHEDULE III

RAKAIA Extra-urban Planning Area, commonly known as the
Township of Rakaia, and surrounding district as defined in
Gazette, 18 December 1947, No. 74, at page 1908.

SCHEDULE IV

ASHBURTON COUNTY DISTRICT SCHEME (TINWALD SECTION)

ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded by
a line commencing at a point on the right bank of the
Ashburton River at its intersection with a line parallel to
and distant 2½ chains from the south-eastern side of Grove
Street; thence south-westerly along the said right line and its
production to the middle of Hassal Street; thence northerly
along the middle of Hassal Street to a point in line with
the south-western boundary of Reserve 1422; thence to and
along that boundary and its production across the Main
Trunk Railway to the northern side of Melcombe Street;
thence north-easterly along that side of Melcombe Street

to the easternmost corner of Section 1, subdivision of Reserve
350; thence north-westerly along a right line to the southern
boundary of Reserve 2378; thence westerly along that
boundary to the eastern boundary of the Tinwald Domain;
thence northerly along that boundary and its production to
the northern side of the Springburn Branch Railway; thence
easterly along the northern side of that railway to the
western boundary of Reserve 2064; thence northerly along
that boundary and its production across Lagmhor Street to
the southern boundary of Reserve 2378, being part of the
Tinwald Domain; thence easterly and north-easterly along
the southern and south-eastern boundaries of the Tinwald
Domain to the south-western boundary of Lot 10, D.P.
1494; thence north-westerly along that boundary to the
boundary of the Tinwald Town District as described in
Gazette of 31 October 1884, page 1551; thence generally
westerly, southerly, easterly, and northerly along that
boundary to the point of commencement.

WHEREAS an extra-urban planning scheme, prepared by
the Lake County Council in respect of that part of Lake
County described in Schedule I hereto, was finally approved
by the Town Planning Board under the Town Planning Act
1926, and has been made operative under the Town and
Country Planning Act 1953 as a section of the Lake County
District Scheme:

And whereas the Lake County Council proposes to pre-
pare by sections the district scheme for the remainder of its
district:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 20 (1) of the Town
and Country Planning Act 1953, public notice is hereby given
that approval has been granted to the Lake County Council to
prepare, recommend, and approve the district scheme for the
remainder of its district by two sections as follows:

(1) Frankton section described in Schedule II hereto.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District and Lake County
containing approximately 1,310 acres situated in the Town of
Frankton and Blocks I, XX, and XXI, Shotover Survey Dis-
trict, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the
northern shore of Frankton arm of Lake Wakatipu in line
with the eastern boundary of Section 27, Block XX, Shotover
Survey District; thence northerly to and along that boundary
and its production across the Milton-Queenstown State
Highway; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern side
of that highway to the south-eastern boundary of Section 32,
Block XX aforesaid; thence north-easterly along that boun-
dary, easterly along the northern boundary of Sections 35 and
33, northerly along the western boundary of Section 20,
easterly along the northern boundary of Sections 20 and 56,
generally north-easterly along the north-western boundaries
of Sections 55, 54, 53, 52, a public road, Sections 57, 41, 42,
and 39, the north-eastern boundary of Section 39 and the
north-western boundary of Section 50, Block XX, Shotover
Survey District; thence generally north-easterly across a public
road and along the north-western boundaries of Sections 31,

a public road, Sections 19 and 35, the western, northern, and
eastern boundaries of Section 16, the north-western boun-
daries of Sections 29, 7, and 6, Block XXI, the south-western
and north-western boundaries of Section 12 and the western
boundary of Section 2; thence easterly along the northern
boundaries of Sections 2, 4, and 3, southerly along the eastern
boundary of Section 3, and north-easterly along the north-
western boundary of Section 5, Block XXI, to its northernmost
corner; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of that
Section 5 and its production across the Milton-Queenstown
State Highway; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern
boundary of that highway to a public road on the north-
eastern boundary of Section 57, Block I, Shotover .Survey
District; thence south-easterly along the south-western side of
that road to and along the north-eastern boundary of Section
16, Block I aforesaid, and its production to the left bank of
the Kawarau River; thence generally westerly along the left
bank of the Kawarau River and generally north-westerly and
south-westerly along the north-eastern and north-western
shores of Frankton arm of Lake Wakatipu to the point of
commencement.
