HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Whangamomona Rabbit District Order 1956.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.
- The boundaries of the Whangamomona Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 22nd day of February 1926,* are hereby altered and redefined; and as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE WHANGAMOMONA RABBIT BOARD
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District being portions of the Whangamomona and Stratford Counties containing by admeasurement 291,200 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the southernmost corner of Section 36, Block VI, Ngatimaru Survey District, being a point on the confiscation line; thence north-easterly along the confiscation line to the south-western boundary of Section 11, Block XV, Upper Waitara Survey District; thence along that boundary to and along the western boundary of the said Section 11 and its production to the northern side of Tirangi Road; thence north-westerly along the northern side of that road to the western boundary of Section 9, Block XV, Upper Waitara Survey District; thence northerly generally along the western boundaries of the said Section 9 and Sections 1 and 2, Block XVI, to the Waitara Valley Road; thence along the eastern side of that road and the Rerekino Road to the southern boundary of Section 3, Block VIII, Upper Waitara Survey District; thence easterly and northerly generally along the southern boundaries of Sections 3 and 4, Block VIII, and the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 5, 6, and 7, Block V, Pouatu Survey District, to the Makino North Road; thence by a right line to the southernmost corner of Section 8, Block I, Pouatu Survey District, and along the eastern and north-eastern boundaries of that section, across a road and railway reserve to the south-western corner of Section 4, Block I, Pouatu Survey District; thence along the western boundaries of the said Sections 4, and 2 and 9, Block XIII, Waro Survey District, along the northern boundaries of Sections 9 and 10, Block XIII, and Sections 5 and 8, Block XIV, Waro Survey District, to Mount Damper Road; thence easterly and northerly generally along that road to the northern block line of Block XV, Waro Survey District, and easterly along the northern block line of Blocks XV and XVI to the Waitaanga Stream; thence down the middle of that stream to the confiscation line; thence south-westerly along that line to the eastern block line of Block XV, Waro Survey District; thence due south by that line and its production to the south-eastern boundary of part Section 9, Block VII, Pouatu Survey District; thence southerly along that boundary and its production to the middle of the Tangarakau River and thence down the middle of that river to where it is intersected by southern boundary of Maraekowhai A 5H Block; thence south-easterly along that boundary and the southern boundaries of Maraekowhai A 5E, A 5C 1, A 5F, and A 3B 1 Blocks and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Wanganui River; thence down the middle of that river to its confluence with the Tangarakau Stream; thence by a right line to Trig. Station, Whakaihuwaka, on Mount Humphries; thence westerly along the southern boundary of Pahautuhia Block to the north-eastern corner of Section 19, Block XIII, Mahoe Survey District; thence along the eastern boundaries of Sections 19 and 20, Block XIII, Mahoe Survey District, along the southern boundary of Section 21, Block XVI, Ngatimaru Survey District to the eastern boundary of Block IV, Omoana Survey District; thence southerly and westerly generally by the eastern and southern boundaries of the aforesaid Block IV and the southern boundaries of Blocks III and II, Omoana Survey District, to the southernmost corner of Section 10, Block II, aforesaid; thence north-westerly generally along the south-western boundary of that section and its production to the middle of the Mangaehu Stream; thence generally north-westerly down the middle of that stream to its confluence with the Mangaotuku Stream and thence up the middle of that stream to the Mangaotuku Road at Section 3S, Tututawa Settlement, in Block XIV, Ngatimaru Survey District; thence again in a generally north-westerly direction by the northern side to the Makuri Stream; thence northerly generally up that stream to its intersection with Makuri Road; thence again northerly generally by the eastern side of that road and the eastern side of Mohakau Road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 17, Block X, Ngatimaru Survey District; thence across the Mohakau Road and the Stratford Main Trunk Railway, to and along the north-eastern boundary of the aforesaid Section 17 to the southern boundary of Section 15, Block V, Ngatimaru Survey District; thence easterly generally along the southern boundaries of the aforesaid Section 15 and the southern boundaries of Sections 40, 3, part 41, 2, and 36, Block VI, Ngatimaru Survey District, to the southernmost corner of the aforesaid Section 36, being the point of commencement.

- The boundaries of the Redcliff Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 2nd day of February 1944,* are hereby altered and redefined; and as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE REDCLIFF RABBIT BOARD
ALL that area in the Waimate County, Canterbury Land District, containing 114,600 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point of the left bank of the Waitaki River in line with the north-western boundary of R.S. 37557, situated in Block VI, Elephant Hill Survey District; thence north-easterly to and along the said north-western boundary of R.S. 37557 to and north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of Section 1, Block VI, Elephant Hill Survey District, and Section 1, Block V, Elephant Hill Survey District, to and north-easterly along the south-eastern boundaries of Lot 4, D.P. 3452, and Lot 3, D.P. 3451, to the road forming the north-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned lot (the boundary of the Upper Waihao Rabbit District follows this boundary from the starting point to the easternmost corner of Lot 3, D.P. 3451); thence easterly generally along that road and Zig Zag Road, to and south-easterly along Buchanans Road and Serpentine Valley Road, to and easterly along the Dip Creek—Waihao Downs—Deep Creek Main Highway to the right bank of the Waihao River; thence south-easterly along the right bank of that river to and along the road passing through Section 1, Block V, Waitaki Survey District, and R.S. 17868, and forming the southern boundary of R.S. 21854, to and northerly along the road forming the eastern boundary of the last-mentioned section to the road forming the western boundary of Kapua Settlement (the boundary of the Waihaorunga Rabbit District follows this boundary from the easternmost corner of Lot 3, D.P. 3451, to the last-mentioned point); thence north-easterly along the road passing through Sections 5A, 5B, and 6 to 11, Kapua Settlement, and forming the north-western boundaries of R.S. 19344, 20670, and 22246, to the north-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned section; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of R.S. 22246 to and easterly along the northern boundary of R.S. 24505 to Grays Road; thence southerly along that road to and north-easterly along Uretane Road to the Waimate—Waihao Bridge Main Highway; thence south-easterly along that highway to and easterly along Faulkners Road to Willowbridge Road; thence north-westerly along Willowbridge Road to and easterly along Bradshaws Road to the right bank of the Waihao River; thence along the right bank of that river to the mean high water mark of the sea; thence southerly along that mean high water mark to and north-westerly along the left bank of the Waitaki River to the point of commencement.
