Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Licensing John McIlwain to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore at Wakapatu as a Site for a Slipway

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby licenses and permits John McIlwain (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his administrators, executors, or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low water mark at Wakapatu, as shown on plan marked M.D. 9969 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining thereon a slipway as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
- This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.
- The premium payable by the licensee shall be five pounds (£5) and the annual sum so payable shall be five pounds (£5).
- The term of the licence shall be fourteen years from the 1st day of May 1956.

Investment of £10,000 of Gisborne Harbour Board Funds

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 53 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Gisborne Harbour Board to invest from the Board’s General Reserve Fund the sum of £10,000 in debentures of the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board, to bear interest at the rate of 4¼ per cent, £400 of principal to be repayable each year for ten years, and £6,000 to be repayable at the end of the ten years.

PURSUANT to section 53 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Wellington Harbour Board to invest the sum of £6,500 from its Dock General Insurance Fund in debentures of the Eastbourne Borough Council Streets Reconstruction Loan 1956, to bear interest at 4¼ per cent per annum.

The Eastern Side of Portion of Clarksons Avenue, in the City of Christchurch, Exempted from the Provisions of Section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves of the resolution passed by the Christchurch City Council on the 19th day of December 1955, and set out in the First Schedule hereto, in so far as it affects the side and portion of street described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
THE Christchurch City Council, being the local authority having control of the streets in the City of Christchurch, by resolution declares that the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928 shall not apply to the eastern side of portion of Clarksons Avenue, being part Town Reserve 96, and being all the land in certificate of title, Volume 152, folio 127, Canterbury Registry.
SECOND SCHEDULE
THE eastern side of all that portion of street in the Canterbury Land District, City of Christchurch, known as Clarksons Avenue, fronting part Town Reserve 96.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 150071 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
