A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as closed the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed: 6 acres and 6·5 perches.

Adjoining Rural Sections 31847, 35980, 35981, and 35985, and part Reserve 1574.

Situated in Blocks VII and VIII, Hakataramea Survey District, Canterbury R.D. (S.O. 8910.)

In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 150187 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 3rd day of May 1956.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of street closed: 18·07 perches.

Adjoining or passing through Lot 2, D.P. 3644, being part Section 41, Lot 2, D.P. 2319, being part Section 43, Section 58, part Sections 42, 43, 59, and 60, Block XXIII, Town of Dunedin.

Situated in the City of Dunedin, Otago R.D. (S.O. 12226.)

In the Otago Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 150256 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Defining the Middle Line of a Portion of the Wellington-Foxton Motorway in Block II, Paekakariki Survey District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1947, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of a motorway to be constructed in Block II, Paekakariki Survey District (viz., a portion of the Wellington-Foxton Motorway), shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall affect only that land situated within the limits of the area bounded by broken red lines shown on the plan marked P.W.D. 149517 referred to in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

COMMENCING in the centre of No. 13 Levin–Paekakariki Main Highway opposite Lot 5, D.P. 4269, in Block II, Paekakariki Survey District, at a point marked 0 miles 0 chains on the plan hereinafter referred to, and proceeding thence in a northerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 0 miles 38 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, etc., viz., part Lot 4, D.P. 4269, Railway Reserve, part Lot 5, D.P. 4269, all in Block II, Paekakariki Survey District, and terminating on the boundary line between the Queen Elizabeth Park Domain (S.O. 23214) and the said Lot 5, D.P. 4269, at a point marked 0 miles 38 chains on the plan hereinafter referred to, including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses, etc.

All in the Wellington Land District; as the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 149517 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Altering the Boundaries of the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby alter the boundaries of the Wanganui-Rangitikei Electric Power District so as to include therein the area described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District being portion of the Waimarino County, bounded by a line commencing at the southernmost corner of Section 4, Block V, Ngamatea Survey District, being a point on the southern boundary of the Waimarino County, as described in the Gazette of 1930 at page 2096; thence easterly generally along the southern boundary of the said Section 4 and its production to the middle of the Mangawhero River; thence south-easterly generally down the middle of that river to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 1, Block V aforesaid; thence due east to and along that boundary and its production to the middle of the Okura Stream; thence easterly generally up the middle of that stream and along the generally southern boundaries of Sections 1, 2, and 3, Block II, Ngamatea Survey District, to a point in the middle of the Hapokopoko Stream, the said point being a point on the southern boundary of the Waimarino County, described as aforesaid; thence south-westerly and north-westerly along the said county boundary to the southernmost corner of Section 4, Block V, Ngamatea Survey District, being the point of commencement. As the said area is shown coloured yellow on the plan marked S.H.D. 400 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.

Crown Land Set Apart as Provisional State Forest Land

PURSUANT to section 18 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby set apart the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto as provisional State forest land.

SCHEDULE

NELSON LAND DISTRICT—NELSON CONSERVANCY

ALL that area in Buller County, containing 500 acres, more or less, and being Section 16, Block I, Otumahana Survey District. As shown on plan No. 101/21 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (S.O. Plan 6347.)
