Boundaries of Borough of Waiuku, Borough of Tuakau, County of Franklin, and Waipipi, Waiuku, and Pukekohe East Ridings of County of Franklin Defined

PURSUANT to section 26 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby defines, as set out in the Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the Borough of Waiuku, the Borough of Tuakau, the County of Franklin, and the Waipipi, Waiuku, and Pukekohe East Ridings of the County of Franklin, the previous boundaries having been altered by Orders in Council as follows:

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF BOROUGH OF WAIUKU

ALL that area of approximately 1,465 acres in the North Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block III, Maioro Survey District, being the intersection of the north-eastern side of the Drury-Waiuku-Kohekohe Main Highway with the right bank of the Rangiwhea Creek, and running generally easterly down that right bank to and along the line of mean high water (spring tide) along that bank and the banks of the Waiuku River to the western boundary of the land shown on D.P. 20305, being part Allotment 48, Parish of Waiuku East; thence generally southerly for a distance of 800 links along that western boundary and the western boundary of another part of the said Allotment 48, and along a right line to a point on the north-western side of Cornwall Road, distant 775 links from the southernmost corner of Allotment 47 of the said parish; thence along a right line to the westernmost corner of Allotment 39, and along the south-western boundary of that allotment to the intersection with a series of right lines parallel to, and 900 links distant from, the generally south-eastern side of Columba Road; thence generally south-westerly along that series of right lines to and along the western boundary of Allotment 41, the northern and western boundaries of Allotment 40, the northern boundary of Allotment 9A and the eastern side of the public road forming the western boundary of Allotment 9, to the westernmost corner of that allotment; thence westerly along a right line across George Street to and along the northern boundary of Allotment 11, the aforesaid allotments all being of the Parish of Waiuku East aforesaid, and along a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced across the Puni-Waiuku via Otau Main Highway to the western side of that highway; thence southerly along that western side to and along the northern boundaries of Lots 1 and 3, D.P. 35805, being parts Allotment 155, Parish of Waiuku West, and along the eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 22274, being parts Allotment 155 aforesaid and of Allotment 154 of the said Parish of Waiuku West, to the north-western corner of Lot 3, D.P. 2001, being part Allotment 155 aforesaid; thence along a right line being the production in a westerly direction of the northern boundary of that last-mentioned Lot 3 for a distance of 1400 links, and northerly along another right line to the southern corner of Lot 9, D.P. 24487, being part Allotment 313, Parish of Waipipi; thence along the south-western boundary of the said Lot 9 for a distance of 700 links, and north-easterly along a right line parallel to the north-western side of Constable Road for a distance of 1300 links; thence north-westerly along a right line to a point on the eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 29543, being part of the said Allotment 313, distant 747 links from the north-eastern corner of that lot, and along another right line to a point on the western boundary of that last-mentioned Lot 1, distant 643 links from the northernmost corner of that lot; thence northerly along that last-mentioned western boundary, along a right line being that boundary produced across the Drury-Waiuku-Kohekohe Main Highway aforementioned to the north-eastern side of that highway, and south-easterly along that north-eastern side to the right bank of the Rangiwhea Creek, the point of commencement.

BOUNDARIES OF BOROUGH OF TUAKAU

All that area of approximately 1,090 acres in the North Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at the north-eastern corner of Lot 2, D.P. 12317, being part Allotment 5, Parish of Tuakau, situated in Block IV, One-whero Survey District, and running generally easterly along a right line passing through Lot 3, D.P. 14156, to the south-eastern corner of part Lot 1, D.P. 11993, being part Allotment 34, Parish of Pukekohe, along the southern boundary of another part of the said Allotment 34, and along a right line being the production of that last-mentioned boundary to the middle of Harrisville Road; thence southerly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the northern boundary of the land shown on D.P. 2853, being parts Allotments 41, 44, and 60, Parish of Tuakau aforementioned, and again easterly along a right line to and along the northern, north-western, and north-eastern boundaries of the said land shown on D.P. 2853, and along another right line being that last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of Mill Road; thence along the middle of that road to a point in line with the south-western

boundary of Allotment 62 of that last-mentioned parish, and along a right line to and along that south-western boundary to the intersection with a series of right lines parallel to, and 250 links distant from, the south-eastern side of Mill Road aforementioned; thence southerly generally along that series of right lines to and along the north-eastern boundary of the land shown on D.P. 3971, being part Allotment 51, and along a right line being that boundary produced to the middle of the Whakapipi Stream; thence up the middle of that stream to a point in line with the western boundary of the land shown on D.P. 6955, being part Allotments 61 and 61A, and along a right line to and along that boundary and along another right line being that boundary produced to the middle of Dominion Road; thence easterly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the boundary between Allotments 18 and 19, and again southerly along a right line to and along that last-mentioned boundary and along another right line being that boundary produced across the North Island Main Trunk Railway to the northernmost corner of Lot 4, D.P. 32049, being part Allotment 16; thence south-westerly generally along the north-western and south-western boundaries of that Lot 4 to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 13796, being part Allotment 15, and along a right line across Bollard Road to and along that north-western boundary, to and along the north-eastern and northern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 39571, being part of the said Allotment 15, and along a right line being that last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the stream forming the western boundary of the aforesaid Lot 1; thence generally southerly down the middle of that stream to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of the part Allotment 15 aforesaid comprised in certificate of title, Volume 586, folio 238 (Auckland Land Registry), the aforesaid allotments all being of the Parish of Tuakau aforementioned, and along a right line to and along that north-eastern boundary to its intersection with a right line between the south-eastern corner of Section 29A, Suburbs of Tuakau, and a point on the south-western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 16252, being part Allotment 17, Parish of Tuakau aforesaid, distant 800 links from the westernmost corner of that Lot 2; thence along that last-mentioned right line to the south-eastern corner of Section 29A aforementioned, and along another right line across Coles Road to the northernmost corner of Section 30, Suburbs of Tuakau aforesaid; thence along the northern and western boundaries of that Section 30, the western boundaries of Section 30A, Suburbs of Tuakau, and of Allotment 59, Parish of Tuakau, along a right line across a stream to and along the western boundary of Section 153, Suburbs of Tuakau, and along another right line across Whangarata Road to and along the western boundary of Section 23 of the said suburbs, to the south-western corner of that last-mentioned section; thence westerly along the northern side of the public road forming the northern boundary of Section 45 to the south-western corner of Section 142, and along a right line across a public road to the north-eastern corner of Section 46; thence along the north-western side of the public road forming the south-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned section, to and along the north-eastern boundary of Section 46A, and the eastern and northern boundaries of Section 56, the aforesaid sections all being of the Suburbs of Tuakau aforesaid, and along a right line being the northern boundary of the last-mentioned section produced to the middle of the public road forming its western boundary; thence northerly along the middle of the public road forming the eastern boundary of Allotment 103 and the eastern and north-eastern boundaries of Allotment 49, both of the Parish of Tuakau aforementioned, to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Allotment 5, Parish of Tuakau aforesaid; thence along a right line to and along the eastern boundary of that Allotment, which is now subdivided, to the north-eastern corner of Lot 2, D.P. 12317 aforementioned, the point of commencement.

BOUNDARIES OF COUNTY OF FRANKLIN

All that area in the North Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea-coast being the South Head of the Manukau Harbour, and running generally easterly along the southern shores of that harbour and of the Pahurehure Inlet, to and along the western, southern, and eastern boundaries of the Borough of Papakura as described in Gazette No. 19 of the 17th day of March 1938, page 470, to the north-eastern corner of Allotment 16 of Suburban Section 1, Parish of Opaheke, in Block XV, Otahuhu Survey District; thence along a right line across a public road to and along the southern boundaries of Allotment 28, Parish of Hunua, and of the subdivisions of Allotments 29 and 30 of that last-mentioned parish, to and along the south-western boundaries of Allotments 235, 33, 34, and S. 171 of the said Parish of Hunua, and the south-western side of a public road to a point in line with the middle of that part of the said public road which forms the north-western boundary of Allotment 168, Parish of Hunua aforementioned, in Block I, Opaheke Survey District; thence along a right line to and along the middle of that part of the aforementioned public road to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Allotment S. 170 and along a right line to and along that south-western boundary, the southern and eastern boundaries of the said Allotment S. 170 and the eastern boundaries of Allotments M. 170 and N. 170, the aforementioned allotments being of the Parish of Hunua aforementioned, to and up the right bank of Hays Creek to the intersection with the western side of a road reserve shown on S.O. 14113²; thence along a right line to the intersection of the southern side of that road reserve with
