Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
PURSUANT to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the
Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the
provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations,
so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors, shall
not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu
thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers
Regulations 1940 to the person described in column 1 of the
Schedule hereunder may authorise him to drive a heavy trade
motor in the course of his employment as a garage employee
for the employer described in column 2 of the said Schedule,
but shall not authorise him, while he is under the age of
eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other
purpose.

Pond Feeding in Otago, Southland, Ashburton, South
Canterbury, Marlborough, and Hawke’s Bay Acclimatisation
Districts
PURSUANT to section 17 (2) of the Wildlife Act 1953,
the Minister of Internal Affairs hereby consents to any
person placing any grain or any other food in or near the
margin of any pond or any other water within the Otago,
Southland, Ashburton, South Canterbury, Marlborough, and
Hawke’s Bay Acclimatisation Districts with the intention of
attracting game for the purpose of hunting or killing that
game.
The authority shall take effect as from the 24th day of
April, and shall remain in force until the 4th day of May
1956.

Cancellation of Special Arrangements for Medical and
Pharmaceutical Services for Residents of Raglan Special
Area
NOTICE is hereby given that the special arrangements
heretofore existing in the Raglan special area, pursuant
to section 82 of the Social Security Act 1938, for the pro-
vision, without charge, of medical and pharmaceutical require-
ments provided as benefits in accordance with the Social
Security (Medical Benefits) Regulations 1941 and the Social
Security (Pharmaceutical Supplies) Regulations 1941† are
cancelled as from 30 April 1956.
The effect of the cancellation of those special arrangements
is that the general provisions made in those regulations for the
provision of medical benefits and pharmaceutical benefits
under the Social Security Act 1938 will apply in respect of
persons for the time being resident in the Raglan special area
on and after 1 May 1956.

Releasing Land from the Provisions of Part XXIV of the
Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Bretons Farm Development
Scheme)
PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953,
the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on the
date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land
described in the Schedule here to shall cease to be subject to
the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953,
the said land being so subject by virtue of a notice dated
29 October 1954 and published in the Gazette on 4 November
1954, Volume III, page 1749.

Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in the County of Patangata
(Notice No. Ag. 6094)
PURSUANT to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, and acting
under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for
the purposes of the said Act, the Director-General hereby
publishes the following special order made by the Patangata
County Council on the 20th day of March 1956.
SPECIAL ORDER
THAT in pursuance of the powers conferred upon it by the
Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Patangata County Council
resolves and declares by way of special order that the plants
mentioned in the Schedule hereto (being mentioned in the
First Schedule of the said Act) are noxious weeds within the
County of Patangata.
