Member of Medical Research Council Appointed
PURSUANT to the Medical Research Council Act 1950,
His Excellency the Administrator of the Government,
acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Health, has
been pleased to reappoint
John Patrick Walsh, D.D.SC., M.B., B.S.(MELB.), M.D.S.(EIRE),
HON. CAUSA., F.D.S.R.C.S.(ENG. and EDIN.),
being a person nominated by the Senate of the University of
New Zealand on the recommendation of the Academic Board
of that University as being distinguished in medical research,
to be a member of the Medical Research Council under the
Medical Research Council Act 1950, for a further term of four
years as from 1 April 1956.

Land Reserved in the Land District of Hawke's Bay and
Declared to be Part of Kotemaori Domain
PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands
hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule
hereto as a reserve for recreation purposes, and, further,
pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, declares the
said reserve to be a public domain subject to the provisions of
Part III of the last-mentioned Act to be part of the Kotemaori
Domain to be administered as a public domain by the Domain
Board.
