Authorising the Dannevirke Electric Power Board to Erect and Use Electric Lines Within Part of the Dannevirke County

URSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Dannevirke Electric Power Board (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use electric lines within the area of supply described in the Schedule hereto; and further, for the purpose of section 76 of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, subject to the said conditions, hereby authorises the licensee to construct electric works within the said area of supply.
CONDITIONS
IMPLIED CONDITIONS
- The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.
LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
- The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.
SYSTEMS OF SUPPLY
- The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (d), (e), and (f) of regulation 21–01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.
DURATION OF LICENCE
- This licence shall, unless sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 5th day of December 1971.
SCHEDULE
AREA OF SUPPLY
ALL that portion of the Dannevirke County (formerly portion of the Weber County) included in the Dannevirke Electric Power District by the Proclamation dated the 14th day of November 1955 and published in the Gazette on the 17th day of the same month, at page 1759.

URSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises Francis Hunter Anderson, of Mangarakau, Collingwood, Miner (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines described in the Schedule hereto.

LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS
- This licence is issued under the Water Power Regulations 1934, and is subject thereto and to the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and to all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefore respectively.
UTILISATION OF WATER AND LOCATION OF HEADWORKS
- Water shall be used under this licence solely for the purpose of generating electricity, and shall be taken from the said stream at the point in Section 6, Block XII, Matiri Survey District, indicated on the plan marked P.W.D. 88619 deposited in the office of the State Hydro-electric Department at Wellington.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS
- The licensee is hereby authorised, subject to the conditions hereof, to construct, maintain, and use the following works for the purpose of this licence, the positions of the said works being indicated on the said plan P.W.D. 88619:
(a) Headworks consisting of intake, water race, and pipe line leading to the power house hereinafter referred to, giving a static head of approximately 60 ft.
(b) Water wheel and power house with all necessary equipment for generating electricity, situated in Section 6 aforesaid.
(c) Tail race leading from the said power house to the Buller River.
(d) Electric lines leading from the said powerhouse in a southerly direction across a road to a residence situated in Section 4, Block XII, aforesaid, and thence in a southerly direction to a cow-shed situated in Section 5, Block XII, aforesaid, the said lines being more particularly shown by means of dotted lines on the said plan P.W.D. 88619.
SYSTEM OF SUPPLY
- The system of supply shall be a direct current system as described in paragraph (d) of regulation 21–01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.
DURATION OF LICENCE
- Unless sooner lawfully determined this licence shall continue in force until the 31st day of March 1977.
RENTAL
- For the purpose of assessing the rental or annual sum payable in respect of this licence, the licensee may install a suitable maximum-demand indicator to the satisfaction of the inspecting engineer of the State Hydro-electric Department, and failing such installation, the rental shall be assessed on the maximum generating capacity of the plant installed. The present plant is rated at 2·5 kilowatts.
No RIGHT TO WATER CONFERRED
- Nothing in this licence shall of itself confer upon the licensee any right to water.

Authorising Charles John Rait, of Owen River, Nelson, Farmer, to Use Water for the Purpose of Generating Electricity and to Erect Certain Electric Lines

URSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby grants to Charles John Rait, of Owen River, Nelson, Farmer (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), a licence, subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to take and use from an unnamed stream (hereinafter referred to as the said stream), situated in Section 6, Block XII, Matiri Survey District, in the County of Murchison, for the purpose hereinafter set forth, a stream of water not exceeding three cubic feet per second at any one time, and to lay, construct, put up, place, and use the electric lines hereinafter described.
