KAIAPOI BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Staff Housing Loan 1955, £1,900

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Government Loans Act 1926, the Kaiapoi Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,900 authorised to be raised by the Kaiapoi Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for providing a Staff Housing Loan 1955, the said Kaiapoi Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two hundred and twenty-one thousandths of a penny (221/1000d.) in the pound of unimproved value on all ratable property of the Borough of Kaiapoi; and that such special rate shall be an annual and recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 27th day of September and 27th day of March, in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of twenty years, until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Kaiapoi Borough Council held on 19 March 1956.

WAİKATO COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waikato County Council proposes to execute certain public works, to wit, the formation of roads, for which purpose the lands described in the Schedule hereto require to be taken by the Waikato County Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, sections 22 and 23.

A plan of the lands required to be taken as aforesaid is open for inspection at the office of the Huntly Borough Council, Huntly.

All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well founded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands and to send such writing to the Waikato County Council within forty days from the date of the first publication of this notice.

1. 2·6 perches, more or less, being part of Lot 6 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under number 12716, being part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 1216, folio 80, Auckland Registry. 2. 29·1 perches, more or less, being part of Lot 12 on the said deposited plan number 12716, being part of the land included in the said certificate of title, Volume 1216, folio 80. Situated in Block I, Komakorau Survey District. Shown on Survey Office Plan number 37652 and thereon coloured yellow.

3. 8 perches, more or less, being part of Allotment number 644 of the Parish of Taupiri, being part of the land included in certificate of title, Volume 991, folio 31, Auckland Registry. Situated in Block I, Komakorau Survey District. Shown on Survey Office Plan number 37652 and thereon coloured blue.

All situated in the County of Waikato, Land Registration District of Auckland, Land District of South Auckland.

SECURITY RATE

Streets Improvement and Reconstruction Loan, £40,000

THE following resolution was duly passed by the Riccarton Borough Council at a meeting held on the 19th day of March:

“In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and amendments, the Riccarton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £40,000 (forty thousand pounds) authorised to be raised by the Riccarton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reconstructing streets, the said Riccarton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one decimal two eight six (1·286) pence in the pound on the unimproved value of all ratable property in the Borough of Riccarton; and that such special rate shall be an annually-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’”

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Opotiki Borough Council, at its meeting held on the 6th day of December 1955, has resolved to prepare for the Opotiki Borough a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.

Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.
