Declaring Lands in North Auckland and Hawke’s Bay Land Districts Vested in the Auckland and Hawke’s Bay Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Proclamation, declare that any school site or part of a school site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty, and thereupon the school site, or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty, freed, and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements, affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation:
Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Auckland Education Board, and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto being an area vested in the Hawke’s Bay Education Board, as sites for public schools, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

PARTS Allotment 101 and part Allotment 101A, Pakuranga Parish, situated in Block VIII, Otahuhu Survey District: Total area, 2 roods 35·8 perches, more or less. PURSUANT to section 265 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land and to be subject to the Land Act 1948.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the portion of public reserve described in the First Schedule hereto and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto now held for State housing purposes, are hereby set apart for the use, convenience, or enjoyment of the Wellington–Foxton Motorway; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 3rd day of April 1956.
