MOTUNAU RABBIT BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, Motunau Rabbit Board hereby resolves this 14th day of March 1956 as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,550 authorised to be raised by Motunau Rabbit Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purchase of a State house, the said Motunau Rabbit Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·5525 of a penny on every acre of all ratable property of the Motunau Rabbit District, comprising all that area in the Counties of Cheviot and Waipara of the Canterbury Land District containing 57,875 acres 2 roods and 4 perches, more or less, the boundaries of which are defined in the Second Schedule of an Order in Council dated the 31st day of October 1951, published in Gazette No. 85, of the 8th day of November 1951, at page 1672; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Bridges and Culverts Replacement Loan 1955, £50,000

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Counties Act 1920, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, and all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the interest, principal, and other charges on a loan of fifty thousand pounds (£50,000) authorised to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council pursuant to the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of replacement of bridges throughout the Rangitikei County, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal point two one two three three four (0·212334) of a penny in the pound on the ratable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all ratable property in the whole of the County of Rangitikei; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen (15) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

BOROUGH OF ROTORUA

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and of all other powers, if any, thereunto enabling it, the Rotorua Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £14,500 authorised to be raised by the Rotorua Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting workers’ dwellings, the said Rotorua Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·097d. in the pound on the ratable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all ratable property in the Borough of Rotorua; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate payable on demand during the currency of the said loan and to be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan for a period of twenty-five years or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at meeting of the Rotorua Borough Council held on Wednesday, 14 March 1956.

BOROUGH OF EAST COAST BAYS

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the East Coast Bays Borough Council, at a meeting held on Wednesday, 7 March 1956, has resolved to prepare for the Borough of East Coast Bays a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.

The scheme will deal with:

  1. The zoning or definition of areas to be used exclusively or principally for specified purposes or classes of purposes.

  2. The preservation of objects and places of historical interest or natural beauty.

  3. The designation of reserves and proposed reserves for civic, cultural, and community purposes, for recreation grounds, ornamental gardens, parks and children’s playgrounds, and for open spaces.

  4. The designation of open spaces for purposes of value to the community on land not intended to be owned by the council.

  5. Public access from place to place, car parks, transport terminals, and public transport systems, including their creation, establishment, closing, removal, alteration, and diversion; traffic routing, the co-ordination of street widths with land uses and population densities, off-street provision for vehicles while being loaded or unloaded or standing, the fixing of building lines in relation to highways.

  6. Sewerage, drainage, and sewage and rubbish disposal.

  7. Lighting and water supply.

  8. Buildings, with particular reference to:

(a) Their position on allotment and in relation to any highway and to other buildings.

(b) Their density, use, character, height, and harmony in design and external appearance.

(c) Verandahs in commercial streets.

(d) Open space about buildings.

(e) The fixing of building lines for amenity and other purposes.

  1. Provision and preservation of amenities, including regulation and control of outdoor advertising displays.

  2. Control of subdivision.

  3. Land subdivisional standards in relation to any permitted use.

  4. Minimum site areas and dimensions in relation to uses of land and buildings.

  5. Ancillary or consequential works and all other matters involving the principles of town and country planning.

Every owner of property and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit in respect of the above matters, suggestions which, in his or their opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.

Suggestions marked “Borough of East Coast Bays District Scheme” should be addressed to the Town Clerk and delivered at the Town Clerk’s office on or before the 11th day of May 1956.

  2. Urban Areas: Rahotu, Pungarehu, Surrounds Opunake Borough, and Warea.

Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.

Proposals marked “Egmont County District Scheme” should be addressed to the County Clerk, and delivered at the County Clerk’s office on or before the 14th day of February 1956.
