Public Service Board of Appeal—Election of Members 1956
PURSUANT to section 14 of the Public Service Amendment Act 1927, Monday, the 28th day of May 1956, has been appointed to be the day on which an election will be held at Wellington for the purposes of electing two members of the Public Service Board of Appeal.
Nominations in writing, by not less than three officers entitled to vote and consented to on the face of the nomination paper signed by the candidate, may be made on forms obtainable from the office of the Public Service Commission.
Nominations must reach the returning officer, office of the Public Service Commission, Wellington, not later than noon on Friday, the 6th day of April 1956, being the date fixed by regulation for that purpose.

Board of Trade Notice No. 119
NOTICE is hereby given—
(a) That the public inquiry, under Board of Trade Notice No. 115 (as amended by No. 116) in respect of woollen goods and synthetic piece goods used in substitution for wool, will commence, as previously notified, on 15 May 1956.
(b) That the public inquiry under Board of Trade Notice No. 117 in respect of carpet sweepers and floor polishers, etc., which was to have commenced on 10 April 1956, has been cancelled.
(c) That the public inquiry under Board of Trade Notice No. 118 in respect of switchboards, fuseboards, etc., which was to have commenced on 17 April 1956, has been cancelled.
