A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as road the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Defining the Middle Line of a Portion of the Wellington-Foxton Motorway in Blocks I and II, Paekakariki Survey District, Block III, Kapiti Survey District, and Blocks V and IX, Kaitawa Survey District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1947, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of a motorway desired to be constructed in Blocks I and II, Paekakariki Survey District, Block III, Kapiti Survey District, and Blocks V and IX, Kaitawa Survey District (viz., a portion of the Wellington-Foxton Motorway) shall be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall affect only that land situated within the limits of the area bounded by red lines shown on the plan marked P.W.D. 143837 referred to in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

COMMENCING in the railway reserve at a point marked 0 miles 0 chains at the junction of Whareroa Road and the Levin-Paekakariki Main Highway at Lot 3, D.P. 714, Block II, Paekakariki Survey District, and proceeding thence in a northerly direction generally for a distance of approximately 8 miles 59·34 chains and passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, etc. (viz., Lot 3, D.P. 714, parts of Lot 2, D.P. 714, Lot 6, D.P. 4270, Lot 1, D.P. 714, part Section 61, Wainui District (D.P. 9060), Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 3093, Lots 17 and 15, D.P. 5751, Lot 1, D.P. 15054, Lot 11, D.P. 5751, all in Block II, Paekakariki Survey District; Lots 9, 14, 12, D.P. 4106, Block I, Paekakariki Survey District, Lot 2, D.P. 4850, Lot 4 (Block VII), D.P. 2391, Lots 22, 9, 8, 7, 6, and 5 (Block IV), D.P. 2391, all in Block I, Paekakariki Survey District; Ngarara West B No. 4, Block III, Kapiti Survey District, Lots 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 (Block IX) D.P. 463, all in Block III, Kapiti Survey District; parts 3s, 4s, 5s, Ngarara Settlement, Block IX, Kaitawa Survey District, Lots 2 and 3, D.P. 2241, Ngarara West A Blocks Nos. 56, 2, 21, 29, 30B 2, 31A, 31B, 31C 1, 31C 2, 31C 3, all in Block IX, Kaitawa Survey District; Ngarara West A Blocks Nos. 40, 41, and 42, all in Block V, Kaitawa Survey District), and terminating at a point in the said Ngarara West A Block No. 42 on the southern side of Ngarara Road, which point is marked 8 miles 59·34 chains on the plan hereinafter referred to; including all adjoining and intervening places, lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and watercourses.

All in the Wellington Land District; as the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 143837 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 14th day of March 1956.
