Town and Country Planning Act 1953—County of Egmont

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that pursuant to section
20 (1) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953,
approval has been granted to the Egmont County Council to
prepare, recommend, and approve its district scheme by five
sections as follows:

1. Rural section described in the First Schedule hereto.
2. Rahotu section described in the Second Schedule hereto.
3. Pungarehu section described in the Third Schedule hereto.
4. Opunake urban section described in the Fourth Schedule
   hereto.
5. Warea section described in the Fifth Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE
EGMONT COUNTY DISTRICT SCHEME (RURAL SECTION)
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District comprising portion
of the Egmont County bounded by a line commencing at the
south-western corner of Section 1, Block IX, Cape Survey
District; thence proceeding in a westerly direction along the
northern boundary of Section 111, Block VIII, Cape Survey
District, and its production to the middle of South Road;
thence southerly along the middle of that road to its intersection
with Stent Road; thence westerly along the middle of Stent
Road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 2,
Block IV, Cape Survey District; thence northerly to and along
that boundary and westerly along the northern boundary of
that section to the eastern boundary of Section 14, Block IV
aforesaid; thence northerly along that boundary and its production
to the middle of the Waiweranui Stream; thence easterly up
the middle of that stream to a point in line with the western
boundary of Section 1, Block IX, Cape Survey District; thence
southerly to and along that boundary to the south-western
corner of the aforesaid Section 1, being the point of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE
EGMONT COUNTY DISTRICT SCHEME (RAHOTU SECTION)
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District comprising portion
of the Egmont County bounded by a line commencing at a
point in the middle of Cape Road in line with the eastern
boundary of Pungarehu B 2 Block in Block XII, Cape Survey
District; thence proceeding in a northerly direction to and
along that boundary and the eastern boundary of Pungarehu
B 1 Block and its production to the middle of Pungarehu Road;
thence westerly along the middle of that road to a point in line
with the western boundary of part Section 133 (D.P. 949), Block
VIII, Cape Survey District; thence northerly to and along that
boundary to and easterly along the northern boundary of the
aforesaid part Section 133 (D.P. 949) to its north-eastern corner;
thence again easterly to and along the southern boundary of
Section 129, Block VIII aforesaid, and its production to the
middle of South Road; thence southerly down the middle of that
road to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section
127, Block XII, Cape Survey District; thence easterly to and
along that boundary to the western boundary of part Section
119, Block XII aforesaid; thence southerly along that boundary
and the western boundary of Section 124 and again by part
Section 119 aforesaid and the last-mentioned boundary produced
to the middle of the Kapoaiaia Stream; thence westerly down
the middle of that stream to the middle of South Road; thence
southerly along the middle of South Road to its intersection
with Cape Road; thence westerly along the middle of Cape
Road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Pungarehu
B 2 Block, being the point of commencement.

THIRD SCHEDULE
EGMONT COUNTY DISTRICT SCHEME (PUNGAREHU SECTION)
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District comprising portion
of the Egmont County bounded by a line commencing at the
north-eastern corner of Section 43, Block I, Opunake Survey
District, and thence proceeding in an easterly direction along
the southern boundary of Section 41, Block I aforesaid, and its
production to the middle of a public road; thence northerly and
easterly along the middle of that road to South Road; thence
southerly along the middle of South Road to a point in line with
the southern boundary of Ngatihauapoto 7C 1 Block; thence
easterly to and along that boundary and the southern boundary
of Ngatihauapoto 7B Block; thence southerly and easterly along
the western and southern boundaries of the said 7B Block and
the southern boundaries of Ngatihauapoto 7A 2 and 7A 1 Blocks
to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned block; thence
southerly by a right line to the adjacent north-western corner of
Lot 2, D.P. 4588; thence easterly along the northern boundary
of the said Lot 2, D.P. 4588, to the western boundary of
Ngatihauapoto 81A Block; thence southerly along the western
boundaries of Ngatihauapoto 81A and 81B Blocks and the
last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Kahui
Road; thence easterly along the middle of that road to a point
in line with the western boundary of Section 27, Block II,
Opunake Survey District; thence southerly to and along that
boundary and the western boundaries of Sections 29, 30, and
31, Block II, Opunake Survey District, to the northern boundary
of Section 167, Block I, Opunake Survey District; thence
westerly along the northern boundary of that section and its
production to the middle of the Tauru Road; thence southerly
along the middle of that road to a point in line with the northern
boundary of Section 150, Block I aforesaid; thence to and
westerly and southerly along the northern and western
boundaries of that section, to and westerly along the northern
boundary of Section 131, Block I aforesaid, to the eastern side
of South Road; thence southerly along the eastern side of that
road to the middle of the Pungaereere Stream; thence westerly
down the middle of that stream to a point in line with the eastern
boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 5333; thence northerly to and along
that boundary and its production to the middle of Rahotu
Road; thence easterly along the middle of that road to a point
in line with the eastern boundary of Section 69, Block I,
Opunake Survey District; thence northerly to and along the
eastern boundary of that section and its production to the
middle of Kahui Road; thence easterly along the middle of
that road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section
43, Block I, Opunake Survey District; thence northerly to
and along the eastern boundary of that section to its north-eastern
corner, being the point of commencement.

FOURTH SCHEDULE
EGMONT COUNTY DISTRICT SCHEME (OPUNAKE URBAN
SECTION)
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District comprising portion
of the Egmont County bounded by a line commencing in the
middle of the Waiaua Stream at a point in line with the southern
boundary of part Section 35, Block IX, Opunake Survey District;
thence north-westerly to and along that boundary, the south-western
boundary of Lot 22, D.P. 3589, across Ihaia Road, to and
along the south-western boundary of Lot 1, Deeds Plan 20, and
the south-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 6196, to the left bank
of Otahi Stream; thence north-easterly up the bank of that stream
to the north-eastern boundary of Section 81, Block IX, Opunake
Survey District; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern
boundary of that section across Ihaia Road and along the
north-eastern boundary of Section 82, Block IX aforesaid, and
its production to the middle of the Waiaua Stream; thence south-
westerly down the middle of that stream to a point in line with
the southern boundary of part Section 35 of the said Block IX,
being the point of commencement.

FIFTH SCHEDULE
EGMONT COUNTY DISTRICT SCHEME (WAREA SECTION)
ALL that area in the Taranaki Land District comprising portion
of the Egmont County bounded by a line commencing on the sea
coast at the north-western corner of Section 26, Block IV, Cape
Survey District; thence easterly along the northern boundary
of the said Section 26 to the western side of Coast Road; thence
easterly across that road to a point in the middle of Puniho Road
at its intersection with Coast Road; thence easterly along the
middle of Puniho Road to its intersection with the radius line of
Mount Egmont National Park; thence southerly and easterly
along that line to the middle of Auroa Road; thence southerly
along the middle of that road to its intersection with the southern
boundary of Block IX, Kaupokonui Survey District; thence
westerly along that boundary to the western boundary of Section
1, Block XIII, Kaupokonui Survey District; thence southerly
along the western boundaries of Sections 1, 2, 3, and part 4,
Block XIII aforesaid, to the northern boundary of part Section
40, Block XIV, Opunake Survey District; thence westerly along
the northern boundaries of part Sections 40 and 39, Block XIV,
Opunake Survey District, and southerly along the western
boundary of the said Section 39 and its production to the southern
side of Skeet Road; thence easterly along the southern side of
Skeet Road to the middle of the Oeo Stream; thence southerly
down the middle of that stream to a point in line with the southern
boundary of Ngatitamaahuroa No. 1 Block in Block II, Oeo Survey
District; thence easterly to and along the southern boundary of
that block to the western boundary of Oeo C 1 Block; thence
southerly along the western boundary of that block and part Oeo
C 2 Block and that boundary to the southern side of South Road;
thence easterly along the southern side of that road to the western
boundary of Subdivision F of Section 2, Block II and Section 4,
Block III, Oeo Survey District; thence southerly along that
boundary to the sea; thence north-westerly along the sea coast to
the middle of the Waiau Stream; thence north-easterly up the
middle of that stream to a point in line with the north-eastern
boundary of Section 82, Block IX, Opunake Survey District;
thence north-westerly to and along that boundary across Ihaia
Road to and along the north-eastern boundary of Section 81,
Block IX aforesaid, to the left bank of the Otahi Stream; thence
south-westerly down the left bank of that stream to the sea;
thence north-westerly by the sea coast to the north-western
corner of Section 26, Block IV, Cape Survey District, being
the point of commencement; excluding therefrom the areas
described in the preceding First, Second, and Third Schedules.
