Prison Appointed at Fonuakula, Niue

———

PURSUANT to section 44 of the Cook Islands Act 1915, the Minister of Island Territories hereby appoints Section 6, Fonuakula Block, in the District of Alofi in the Island of Niue, and the prison building situated thereon, to be a prison for the purposes of the said Act to be known as the Fonuakula Prison.

Given under my hand and the Seal of the Cook Islands this 16th day of December 1955.

Appointment of Officer of Police and Gaoler in Niue

———

PURSUANT to the Cook Islands Act 1915, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

Trevor McGregor Wright, Esquire,

as Officer of Police in the Cook Islands and Gaoler for the prison of Fonuakula in the Island of Niue, with effect from the 16th day of November 1955.

Appointing a Supervising Officer Under the General Harbour Motor Launch By-laws 1934

———

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950 and the General Harbour Motor Launch By-laws 1934, the Minister of Marine hereby appoints

Sid Augustus McNamara

to be a supervising officer under the said by-laws in respect of those waters contained in Lake Rotorua and Lake Rotoiti.

Hauraki Plains Drainage District—Penalty on Overdue Rates

PURSUANT to section 76 of the Rating Act 1925 and the Hauraki Plains Act 1926, the ratepayers within the district constituted by the last-mentioned Act are hereby notified that 10 per cent additional will be added to all rates for the year ending 31 March 1956 unpaid on 13 February 1956.

Rates may be paid at any money-order office or to the Collector of Rates, Lands and Survey Department, P.O. Box 2205, Auckland C. 1.
