NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Hamilton City Council proposes to execute a certain public work, to wit, the formation of streets, for which purpose the lands described in the First Schedule hereto require to be taken by the Hamilton City Council under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, sections 22 and 23, and the lands described in the Second Schedule hereto require to be set apart.

A plan of the lands required to be taken and set apart as aforesaid is open for inspection at the office of the Hamilton City Council, Alma Street, Hamilton.

All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-founded objections to the execution of such works or to the taking or setting apart of such lands, and to send such writing to the Hamilton City Council within forty days from the date of the first publication of this notice.

FIRST SCHEDULE

(1) 2 roods 30·5 perches, being part of Lot 1 on a plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland under Number 32849; coloured yellow.

(2) 3·3 perches, being part of Lot 1 on a plan deposited as aforesaid under Number 36417; coloured sepia.

(3) 2 perches, being part Lot 16 on a plan deposited as aforesaid under Number 28741; coloured blue.

(4) 0·5 perch, being part of Lot 9 on a plan deposited as aforesaid under Number 22569; coloured yellow.

(5) 0·1 perch, being part of Lot 1 on a plan deposited as aforesaid under Number 10244; coloured blue.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above company held on the 15th day of December 1955 it was resolved by special resolution that the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr W. G. Watts, of New Plymouth, Public Accountant, be appointed liquidator, and fixing the liquidator’s remuneration.

EKETAHUNA BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Eketauna Borough Council at the Council meeting held on the 12th day of December 1955 has resolved to prepare for the Eketauna Borough a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.

Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or her opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.

Proposals marked “Eketauna District Scheme” should be addressed to the Town Clerk and delivered at the Town Clerk’s Office on or before the 14th day of March 1956.

WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL

SECURITY RATE

Burnside Road Memorial Highway Loan 1955, £16,817

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Waimairi County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £16,817 to be known as the Burnside Road Memorial Highway Loan 1955 authorized to be raised by the Waimairi County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of meeting the Council’s share of the cost of reconstructing and widening Burnside Road, the said Waimairi County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·033205d. in the pound (£) upon the rateable capital value of all property within the County; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Burnside Road Memorial Highway Loan 1955

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Riccarton Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £5,516 authorized to be raised by the Riccarton Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purposes of the Burnside Memorial Highway Loan, the said Riccarton Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of decimal one seven eight of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Riccarton; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
