Setting Apart Maori Land as a Maori Reservation

At the Government House at Wellington this 14th day of December 1955

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a meeting place for the common use of the members of the Waikato tribes.

Revocation of Order in Council Prohibiting Alienation of Maori Land

No. 2 Section 2 Block.

Judge of the Maori Land Court Appointed

PURSUANT to section 16 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

Maurice Alister Brook, Esquire,

to be a Judge of the Maori Land Court on and from the 9th day of January 1956.

Termination of Appointment in the Royal New Zealand Navy

PURSUANT to section 7 of the Naval Defence Act 1913, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to accept the resignation of Surgeon Lieutenant-Commander (D) Donald Millar, L.D.S., from the Active List of the Royal New Zealand Navy.

He is to be placed on the Retired List of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Navy to date 1 January 1956.
