Revocation of the Reservation Over Part of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation over that part of the reserve for scenic purposes described in the Schedule hereto.

Taranaki Land District.

Part Section 6, Block II, Piopiotea West Survey District: Area, 2 acres 3 roods 2 perches, more or less. (S.O. Plan 8750.)

Assent to Agreement for Grant of Easement in Favour of Mary Elizabeth Shelton, of Karapiro, Widow, Over Land in Matamata County, Taken for the Development of Water Power (Lake Taupo and the Waikato River Power Scheme)

Whereas by a Proclamation dated the 3rd day of September 1953, and published in Gazette, 10 September 1953, Vol. III, page 1469, an area of land comprising 2 roods 33·5 perches, being all the land on D.P. 22787 (Auckland Land Registry), situated in Block XVI, Cambridge Survey District, was taken for the development of water power (Lake Taupo and the Waikato River Power Scheme):

And whereas at the date the said Proclamation took effect the registered proprietor thereof was Mary Elizabeth Shelton, of Cambridge, Widow:

And whereas the said Mary Elizabeth Shelton was entitled to receive compensation for the taking of the said land:

And whereas the Minister of Works has agreed to grant to the said Mary Elizabeth Shelton a right to take water from and over part of the land shown on S.O. Plan 33868 (P.W.D. 141064), being part Lot VI, D.P. 3300, taken for the development of water power by the aforesaid Proclamation, in part satisfaction of the compensation aforesaid:

And whereas the said Mary Elizabeth Shelton has agreed to accept such grant of easement in part satisfaction of the said compensation:

Now, therefore, the Minister of Works hereby gives notice, pursuant to section 97 of the Public Works Act 1928, that he assents to the agreement hereinbefore referred to.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block I, Belmont Survey District, for Housing Purposes

Notice is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for housing purposes; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Porirua and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Declaring Land Taken for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land, Subject as to Part to a Drainage Easement

Pursuant to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto, subject as to part to the drainage easement created in and by Memorandum of Transfer No. 344176, Canterbury Land Registry, to be deemed to have been Crown land, for the purposes of the Land Act 1948, subject to the aforesaid easement, as from the 17th day of December 1954.
