PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
-
(1) This order may be cited as the Pongakawa Rabbit District Order 1955.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette. -
The boundaries of the Pongakawa Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 25th day of March 1942,* are hereby altered and redefined; and as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE PONGAKAWA RABBIT BOARD
ALL that area of approximately 600,000 acres, in the South Auckland Land District, in the Rotorua, Tauranga, and Whakatane Counties, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the shores of the Bay of Plenty where it is joined by the left bank of the Rangitaiki River, in Block V, Awaateatua Survey District, and running southerly generally up that left bank to the north-eastern side of the Rotorua-Waikaremoana State Highway, in Block XIII, Galatea Survey District; thence northerly and then westerly generally along that north-eastern side, to and along the north-western side of the Te Teko—Murupara Road, to and along the generally eastern boundaries of the State forests described in Gazettes, 1926, page 2863, and 1927, page 460, crossing the intervening public roads, to and up the right bank of the Ngatamawahine Stream to a point in Block V, Kaingaroa Survey District, due south of Trig. Station Te Rere; thence along a right line to that Trig. Station, and along the northern boundary of the State forest described in Gazette, 1911, page 3567, the north-eastern boundary of the State forest containing an area of 7,072 acres and 23 perches, and described in Gazette, 1929, page 231, the generally eastern and northern boundaries of the State forest, containing an area of 444 acres 3 roods 35 perches, and described in Gazette, 1929, page 231, to and along the north-eastern boundary of the State forest as described in Section 5 of the Reserves and Other Lands Disposal Act 1926, the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of part Section 8, Block III, Paeroa Survey District, to and along the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of part Rotomahana-Parekarangi No. 6A 2 No. 1b Block, crossing the intervening Rotorua—Taupo State Highway twice, to the north-eastern side of the last-mentioned State highway; thence generally northerly along that north-eastern side, the eastern side of Fenton Street, the southern side of Sala Street, the generally eastern side of Cemetery Road, and the southern side of the Rotorua—Whakatane State Highway, to and down the right bank of the Puarenga Stream, and along the eastern shore of Lake Rotorua, to and along the north-western bank of the Ohau Channel and the western shore of Lake Rotoiti, to and down the right bank of the Kaituna River to the shores of the Bay of Plenty aforesaid; thence south-easterly generally along the said shores to the point of commencement.

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

(1) This order may be cited as the Kekerangu Rabbit District Order 1955.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette. -
The boundaries of the Kekerangu Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 13th day of March 1946,* are hereby altered and redefined; and as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE KEKERANGU RABBIT BOARD
ALL the area of land in the Marlborough Land District, Kaikoura, Amuri, and Awatere Counties bounded as follows: Commencing on the boundary of the Conway Rabbit District at Snowflake, Block IX, Greenburn Survey District; thence proceeding south-westerly generally by the Conway Rabbit District boundary of Gazette, 10 July 1952, page 1182, through the Palmer Saddle to its intersection with the boundary of Run 15A (Cloudy Range); thence north-westerly generally by that boundary to the left bank of the Clarence River; thence north-easterly generally by the left bank of the Clarence River to its junction with the Red Hills Stream; thence in a northerly and north-easterly direction by that stream, the western and north-western boundaries of the Kekerangu Run No. 121, the north and north-western boundaries of Section 1, Block VI, Section 1, Block VII, Section 1, Block VIII, Tapuaenuku Survey District, Section 1, Block VI, Sections 1 and 9, Block VII, and 90 Mead Hill Run, Clarence R.D., Block VII, and Section 10, Block III, Whernside Survey District, to the Nidd Stream; thence north-easterly by the Nidd Stream to its intersection with a right line bearing 33 degrees true from Trig. Station, WH, Mount Whernside; thence south-westerly generally by that right line to Mount Whernside; thence westerly generally by a right line to the easternmost corner of part Section 8, Lower Clarence Registration District, Block VIII aforesaid; thence south-westerly by the south-eastern boundary of the said Section 8 to the northern corner of part Section 14, Sawtooth Run, Clarence Registration District, Block VIII aforesaid; thence by the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of the said part Section 14 to the southern corner of the said part Section 14; thence in an easterly direction by a right line to the north-west corner of part Section 3, Block VIII aforesaid; thence in a south-easterly direction by the north-eastern boundary of the said part Section 3 to Trig. P, Ragged Robin, Block VIII, Whernside Survey District; thence in a south-westerly direction by the watershed between Boundary Stream and the Kekerangu River to its intersection with the south boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 1340, Block XIV, Whernside Survey District; thence westerly generally by the southern boundary of Lot 1 aforesaid to its western end; thence southerly generally 1200·1 links by the boundary between D.P. 705 and Lot 2, D.P. 1340, to Peg LX 111, D.P. 705, in Block XIII, Whernside Survey District; thence south-westerly generally by a right line 116 chains being 221 degrees true, and by a right line 100 chains bearing 203 degrees true to the intersection of the middle lines of the Clarence River and the Boundary Stream in Block XVIII, Whernside Survey District; thence due west by a right line to the right bank of the Clarence River, being the boundary of the Ohau Rabbit District; thence northerly, north-westerly, westerly, south-westerly, and southerly generally by the boundary of the Ohau Rabbit District, Gazette, 12 April 1951, page 490, to a point marked 7,439 ft. on the summit of the seaward Kaikoura Range; thence south-westerly generally along the summit of the seaward Kaikoura Range through Manakau and Mount Saunders to Snowflake on the boundary of the Conway Rabbit District, Block IX, Greenburn Survey District, the point of commencement.
