PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for defence purposes.

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 148684 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the development of water power (Roxburgh Power Scheme: Lake Hawea Control); and also that the leasehold estate in the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by James Buckley, of Hawea Flat, Guide, and by virtue of Crown renewable lease under Part III of the Land Act 1924 and the Mining Act 1926, No. 403, National Endowment, Volume 228, folio 160, Otago Land Registry, is hereby taken for the development of water power (Roxburgh Power Scheme: Lake Hawea Control).

Revoking Part of a Proclamation Defining the Middle Line
of the Sockburn-Styx Railway

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 18th day of June 1953, and published in the Gazette, 25 June 1953, Volume II, page 962, defining the middle line of the Sockburn-Styx Railway in so far as it affects Lot 1, D.P. 15137, being part Rural Sections 533a and 566, situated in Block VI, Christchurch Survey District.
All certificate of title, Volume 535, folio 173, Canterbury Land Registry.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 29th day of November 1955.
