ALEXANDRA BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

RESOLVED, “That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000, to be known as Community Centre Loan 1952, authorized to be raised by the Alexandra Borough Council under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 for the purpose of meeting portion of the cost of the Alexandra District War Memorial Community Centre, the said Alexandra Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven-eighths of a penny (¾d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Alexandra; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

APPLICATION has been made to the above company for the issuance of certificate of title to twenty-four stock units of 5s. each in the names of executrices in the estate of SYDNEY WILLIAM KARTON, Timaru, which application is supported by a statutory declaration that the original share certificate covering these units has been lost or destroyed. The original certificate was No. W481 for 6 shares of £1 each. Notice is hereby given that unless within twenty-one days from date hereof there is made to the company some claim or representation in respect of the said original certificate the directors will proceed to deal with the application for fresh title.
