Authorizing the Minister of Works to Construct and Maintain
Water Supply Works in the Ripponvale Irrigation District

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS section 274 of the Public Works Act 1928 provides that the Governor-General may, by Order in Council, authorize the Minister of Works to construct, maintain, or control any water race or water supply works, either within or outside a mining district, which are proposed to be constructed or which have been constructed out of funds provided by Parliament:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the said section, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Minister of Works to construct, maintain, and control the water supply works described in the First Schedule hereto, and also hereby declares that the district to be served by such water supply works (herein referred to as the Ripponvale Water Supply District) shall be that defined in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
THE Ripponvale Irrigation Works, for the irrigation of the Ripponvale Irrigation District (described in the Second Schedule hereto) by means of water drawn from the Kawarau River and from any dam or dams which are or may be constructed or acquired on the said river or any other river or stream, such water being conveyed into the said district by a race or races constructed or acquired by the Minister of Works, or by an enlargement or extension thereof; the said works, including all dams, weirs, reservoirs, tunnels, fluming, siphons, piping, gauge boxes, and races, and all other works incidental to or required for the construction, maintenance, and control of the said works for the irrigation of the said Ripponvale Irrigation District.
SECOND SCHEDULE
RIPPONVALE IRRIGATION DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Vincent County and Cromwell Borough, containing 3,600 acres, more or less, bounded as follows: Commencing at the north-western corner of Section 10, Block I, Cromwell Survey District; thence south-westerly along the western boundaries of that Section 10, The Town Belt, Block XCII, Town of Cromwell, and Section 12A, Block I, Cromwell Survey District; thence easterly along the northern side of Cemetery Road to its junction with the Bannockburn-Cromwell Road; thence south-easterly along the eastern side of the Bannockburn-Cromwell Road to a point opposite the southernmost corner of Allotment 48, Sarita Subdivision, situated in Block I, Cromwell Survey District; thence generally north-westerly to and along the south-western boundaries of Allotments 48, 45, 44, 43, 42, 41, and part of 40, Sarita Subdivision, Section 107, Block I, Cromwell Survey District, Allotments part of 40 and 39, Sarita Subdivision, situated in Blocks I and II, Cromwell Survey District, the south-western boundary of Section 29, and the south-western and north-western boundaries of Section 28, Block II, Cromwell Survey District, to the Milton-Queenstown State Highway; thence north-westerly along the southern side of that highway to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 27, Block II, Cromwell Survey District; thence north-easterly to and along that boundary and south-easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 27, 25, and 30 to the north-western boundary of Section 23, Block II, Cromwell Survey District; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of the said Section 23 to the westernmost corner of Lot 30, D.P. 2715; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of D.P. 2715 and D.P. 2714, to and across Section 1201R to the south-western boundary of Section 26, Block III, Cromwell Survey District; thence south-easterly and northerly along the south-western and eastern boundaries of the said Section 26 to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 11; thence easterly to and along the northern boundary of the said Section 11 to and across a road; thence southerly along the eastern side of that road to the north-western corner of Section 31, Block III, Cromwell Survey District; thence south-easterly, southerly, and south-easterly along the north-eastern, eastern, and north-eastern boundaries of the said Section 31 to the Timaru-Cromwell via Lindis State Highway; thence north-easterly along the north-western side of that highway to its junction with a road at the northern corner of Lot 47, D.P. 2970; thence southerly along the eastern side of that road to and across the Milton-Queenstown State Highway (Ana Street); thence easterly along the southern side of that highway to the point of commencement.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 148521 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red and yellow.

Authorizing the Laying Off of an Extension of Evans Street
in the City of Dunedin, Subject to a Condition as to the
Building Line

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Dunedin City Council to permit the laying off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for parts of its length of less than 66 ft., but not less than 42 ft., subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the said street shown edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 148490 referred to in the said Schedule within a distance of 15 ft. from the side lines of the said street.
SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the Otago Land District, City of Dunedin, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 1 rood 10 perches, more or less, being part Sections 48 and 49, Block IX, North Harbour and Blueskin District.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 148490 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Authorizing the Laying Off of a Street Off Old Wairoa Road
in the Borough of Papakura, Subject to Conditions as to the
Building Line

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Papakura Borough Council to permit the laying off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft., but not less than 50 ft., subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on Lots 42 and 43 of a subdivision of the land shown edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 145465 referred to in the said Schedule within a distance of 33 ft. from the centre line of the said street or on Lots 10 and 11 of the said subdivision within a distance of 43 ft. from the centre line of the said street or on the balance of the land in the said subdivision within a distance of 50 ft. from the centre line of the said street.
SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the North Auckland Land District, Borough of Papakura, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 24Β·2 perches, more or less, being part Lot 15, D.P. 33456, being part Allotment 2, Parish of Opaheke.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 148465 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Building Line

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Onehunga Borough Council to permit the laying off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft., but not less than 40 ft., subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land shown edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 148542 referred to in the said Schedule within a distance of 35 ft. from the centre line of the said street.
