PURSUANTS to section 16 of the New Zealand Army Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Army:

THE ROYAL N.Z. ARTILLERY

Regular Force

John O'Bryen Horsford, late Lieutenant British Army, to be Lieutenant (on prob.). Dated 23 September 1955.

Captain K. R. Huband, LL.B., is seconded to Headquarters, R.A., N.Z. Division, and is appointed Liaison Officer. Dated 5 October 1955.

Lieutenant (on prob.) J. Hall, M.B., Ch.B., R.N.Z.A.M.C., is appointed R.M.O., 1st Field Regiment, R.N.Z.A., with his present rank and seniority. Dated 31 August 1955.

2nd Lieutenant P. R. Goddard is attached to the Auckland Grammar School Cadets. Dated 12 October 1955.

Pleasants, E.D., 1st Battalion, relinquishes the appointment of Legal Staff Officer, Headquarters, Northern Military District, ceases to be seconded, and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, The Royal N.Z. Infantry Corps, with the rank of Major. Dated 1 October 1955.

2nd Lieutenant T. B. Wynyard, 1st Battalion, is attached for full-time duty to Papakura Camp. Dated 19 October 1955.

2nd Lieutenant (on prob.) E. P. Kelleher from the Canterbury Regiment, to be 2nd Lieutenant (on prob.) with seniority from 26 September 1952, next above 2nd Lieutenant P. N. Lieutenant (on prob.) J. Hall, M.B., Ch.B., ceases to be posted to the 1st General Hospital, R.N.Z.A.M.C., and is appointed R.M.O., 1st Field Regiment, R.N.Z.A. Dated 31 August 1955.

Colonel M. Williams, E.D., M.R.C.S.(Eng.), M.R.C.P. (Lond.), relinquishes the appointment of C.O., 2nd General Hospital, R.N.Z.A.M.C., and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, The Royal N.Z. Army Medical Corps, with the rank of Colonel. Dated 31 August 1955.
