PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim as closed the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto.

Fixing Sittings of the Court of Appeal

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 2nd day of November 1955

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by the Judicature Amendment Act 1913 it is enacted that the Court of Appeal shall hold its sittings at such times and places as are from time to time appointed by the Governor-General in Council and notified in the N.Z. Gazette twenty-one days at least before the times so fixed respectively, and that such appointment shall determine the division by which such sittings shall be held:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby appoints and declares that sittings of the Court of Appeal of New Zealand shall be held within the Supreme Court House, in the City of Wellington, upon the following days at eleven o’clock in the forenoon, and hereby determines that such sittings shall be held by the respective divisions of the said Court as are shown hereunder:
Tuesday, the 13th day of March 1956: By the First Division of the said Court.
Tuesday, the 5th day of June 1956: By the Second Division of the said Court.
Tuesday, the 11th day of September 1956: By the First Division of the said Court.

Varying a Condition as to Setting Back the Building Line of Portion of Halton Street, in the City of Christchurch, Imposed by Order in Council Under Section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 27 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council hereby amends the Order in Council dated the 14th day of November 1945, published in Gazette, 15 November 1945, Vol. III, page 1411, and deposited in the Land Registry Office at Christchurch as No. 2068, exempting the south-eastern side of portion of Halton Street in the City of Christchurch from the provisions of section 128 of the Public Works Act 1928, subject to a condition as to the building line, by varying the condition as to the building line so that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on Lot 1 and part Lot 2, D.P. 17812, being part Rural Section 135, City of Christchurch, being the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 651, folio 37, Canterbury Registry, within a distance of 23 ft. from the side line of the said street.
