Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935—Plugs and Cord Connectors
NOTICE is hereby given that, because of the increasing extent of electrical accidents involving them, rubber plugs and cord connectors are henceforth required to have my approval under Electrical Wiring Regulation 27-72. Rubber plugs and cord connectors that do not have my approval shall not be manufactured for sale, offered for sale, installed, or used.
In addition to compliance with the requirements of N.Z.S.S. 198, and where my approval is required, all plugs and cord connectors shall henceforth comply with the following:
(a) The body and the cover of any plug, or socket portion of any cord connector, constructed in more than one piece, shall be so secured one to the other that they are able to be detached only by the use of a screwdriver or some other tool, and only when the plug is not inserted in a plug-socket or a cord-connector socket.
(b) The means provided for relief from strain on the conductors where they are attached to the terminals of a plug or cord connector shall be fully effective with the range of sizes and types of flexible cord to which the plug or cord connector is normally likely to be connected in service.
(c) The design and construction of every plug shall be such that the correct alignment and projection of the pins are securely and permanently maintained.

Classification of Roads in Tauranga County
PURSUANT to regulation 3 (7) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955, the Commissioner of Transport hereby revokes that Warrant dated the 28th day of August 1950* and that portion of the Warrant dated the 24th day of November 1950† in so far as they apply to the roads described in the Schedule hereto, and hereby approves the Tauranga County Council’s proposed classification of the said roads as set out in the said Schedule.

Classification of Road in Pohangina County
PURSUANT to regulation 3 (7) of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955, the Commissioner of Transport hereby approves the Pohangina County Council’s proposed classification of the road described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the Pohangina County.
