Mangaweka Town Council Declared a Leasing Authority

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS the Mangaweka Town Council has requested the Governor-General in Council to declare it to be a leasing authority within the meaning of the Public Bodies' Leases Act 1908:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 4 of the Public Bodies' Leases Act 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the Mangaweka Town Council is a leasing authority within the meaning of that Act.

PURSUANT to the Coal Mines Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

THE land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby exempted from the operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area of land containing 3·07 perches, more or less, being Lots 2 and 6 on Deposited Plan 1262, being part Section 3, Block II, Mawheranui Survey District, and being part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 56, folio 231, Westland Registry.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 20th day of October 1955.

ALL that area of land containing 1 rood 39·4 perches, more or less, being Lots 2 and 16, Deposited Plan Number 1268 (Town of Rœ, Extension 1), being part Section 1, Block II, Mawheranui Survey District, and part Reserve 1070, and being part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 56, folio 230, Westland Registry, excepting thereout all coal on or under the surface of the land.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 27th day of October 1955.

PURSUANT to section 15 of the Royal New Zealand Air Force Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve the following appointments, promotions, and transfer of officers of the Royal New Zealand Air Force.

Appointment

Malcolm Henry FLACK (77551) is granted a short-service commission in the General Duties Branch, Regular Air Force, for a period of three years with the rank of Flight Lieutenant and with seniority as from date of appointment, to be followed by a period of four years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers, with effect from 4 August 1955.

The Rev. Mervyn Nathaniel DICKEY (77293) is granted a temporary commission in the Chaplains Branch, Regular Air Force, for a period of five years with the relative rank of Flight Lieutenant and with seniority as from date of appointment, with effect from 10 February 1954.

TERRITORIAL AIR FORCE

Transfer

Pilot Officer Peter James Gillespie MARDON (568401) is transferred from the General Duties Branch, Regular Air Force, to the Territorial Air Force for a period of four years, to be followed by a period of four years in the Reserve of Air Force Officers, with effect from 1 September 1955.
