NOTICE is hereby given that by a resolution for voluntary liquidation, dated 20 October 1955, the above-named company resolved that it be wound up voluntarily, and that John Connington Smeeton, of Feilding, Farmer, be appointed liquidator for the purposes of such winding-up.

In the matter of the Companies Act 1933, and in the matter of Adrian Gowns Limited, a duly incorporated company having its registered office at 23 High Street, Auckland.
NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was on the 18th day of October 1955 presented to the said Court by E. Allan Brooker Limited, a duly incorporated company having its registered office at No. 24 Lorne Street in the City of Auckland, Merchant, and that the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at Auckland on the 25th day of November 1955 at 10 o’clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

CERTIFIED copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Auckland City Council held on the 13th day of October 1955:
‘‘In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act 1951, the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926, and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:
‘‘ ‘That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of thirty-three thousand four hundred pounds (£33,400) to be known as the Motor Vehicle Testing Station Additional Loan 1955, £33,400, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of erecting a motor vehicle testing station on the Great North Road for the City of Auckland, and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two-twenty-sevenths of one penny (2/27d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan or until the loan is fully paid off.’ ’’

BY order of the Supreme Court at Greymouth, dated the 15th day of October 1955, the Official Assignee at Greymouth has been appointed liquidator of the above-named company without a committee of inspection.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wallace County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to carry out certain road works, and that for that purpose the pieces of land described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken for road; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Wallace County Council at Otatau, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of such works or the taking of such lands should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the date of this notice (being the date of the first publication thereof), to the Wallace County Council, Otatau.
