MATAMATA COUNTY COUNCIL

MATAMATA COUNTY DISTRICT PLANNING SCHEME (TOKOROA SECTION)

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Matamata County Council, at its meeting held on the 13th day of October 1955, has resolved under the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953 to amend the Matamata County District Planning Scheme (Tokoroa Section) to provide as follows:

(1) Local commercial zone in Amisfield locality—Area “A”.
(2) Extension of residential zone on southern side of Maraetai Road (west of railway)—Area “B” with local commercial zone.
(3) Extension of residential zone—Area “C” with local commercial zone.
(4) Amendment of conditional uses in the rural zone, by addition of the following clauses to clause 23 (1) (b):
(iv) Licensed and unlicensed hotels and accommodation houses, cabarets, restaurants, halls, and generally buildings for or connected with indoor or outdoor recreation.
(v) The winning and processing of materials occurring naturally in the vicinity.
(vi) Cemeteries and crematoria.
(vii) Country stores, service stations, commercial garages, machinery workshops, and roadside shops for sale of the produce of the farm on which the shop is located.

A copy of the scheme with the proposed amendments has been deposited at the Matamata County Chambers, Tirau, and is open for inspection (without fee) to all persons interested therein at any time, when the above place is open to the public.

Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed amendments to the scheme.

Proposals marked “Matamata County District Planning Scheme” should be addressed to the County Clerk and delivered at the Matamata County Council Office, Tirau, on or before the 27th day of December 1955.

WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

The Wellington City Housing Loan 1955 of £200,000

THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 12th day of October 1955:

“‘In pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and its amendments, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, repayment of principal, and other charges on a loan of two hundred thousand pounds (£200,000) to be known as the Wellington City Housing Loan 1955 of £200,000 authorized to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting workers’ dwellings, the Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of sixty-seven eight-hundredths of a penny (67/800d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’’

SONNIA FASHIONS LIMITED

IN LIQUIDATION

In the matter of the Companies Act 1933, and of Sonnia Fashions Limited (in liquidation).

NOTICE is hereby given that the following special resolution was passed under the provisions of section 300 of the Companies Act 1933 on the 17th day of October 1955:

“‘That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr Douglas Chalmers Bates, of Auckland, be and he is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.’’’

LOWER HUTT CITY COUNCIL

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments, and in the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and in the matter of the Lower Hutt Borough Empowering Act 1927.

To Grace Dudley, of the City of Lower Hutt, Married Woman, care of the District Public Trustee, Wellington.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Lower Hutt City Council proposes by virtue of the Public Works Act 1928 and its amendments, the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and the Lower Hutt Borough Empowering Act 1927, and of all other acts and powers it thereunto enabling, to execute a public work, to wit, the realignment of Knights Road and Bunny Street in the City of Lower Hutt, the construction of a service lane, and the erection of a parking place in Bunny Street, and for the purpose of such public work the piece of land more particularly described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken as being necessary and convenient for the purposes of and in connection with the said public work; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the offices of the Lower Hutt City Council situate at the corner of High Street and Laings Road, Lower Hutt, and is there open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours; and notice is hereby further given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said piece of land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work, or to the taking of the said piece of land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Lower Hutt City Council at its offices aforesaid.

SCHEDULE

Land Required in Connection With a Public Work

ALL that piece of land situate in the City of Lower Hutt containing one rood twenty-six and fifty-six one-hundredths perches (1r. 26·56p.), be the same a little more or less, being part of Section 25 of the Hutt District, and being also Lots 4 and 5 on Deposited Plan Number 7632 and all the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 387, folio 285, Wellington Registry.

Under the Regulations Act 1936 statutory regulations of general legislative force are no longer published in the New Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of the following arrangements:

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing), subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.
(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram, £1 10s. (Volumes for years 1936–37 and 1939–42 are out of print.)
(3) Serially as issued and annual bound volume, as in (1) and (2) above, on combined subscription basis, £3 3s. per calendar year in advance.
(4) Separate regulations as issued.

The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating the purchase of extra copies.

Orders should be placed with the Government Printer, Publications Branch, Wellington C.1. Separate copies of Regulations may also be purchased from the Printing and Stationery Department, 130 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, or from the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the day preceding publication.

Subscriptions.—The subscription is at the rate of £5 5s. per calendar year, including postage, Payable in Advance.

Single copies of the Gazette as follows:—
For the first 16 pages, 6d., increasing by 6d. for every subsequent 8 pages or part thereof.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any subsequent insertions.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across the face of the advertisement.
