Land Taken, Subject to an Easement, and an Easement Over
Land Taken for the Development of Water Power in Block
V, Paritutu Survey District

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the
Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and
declare that the land described in the Second and Third
Schedules hereto is hereby taken, subject as to the land
described in the said Second Schedule to the water pipe-line
easement created by Deed No. 31118 (38/280), Taranaki
Land Registry, for the development of water power; and
also hereby proclaim and declare that an easement is hereby
taken for the development of water power over the land
described in the First Schedule hereto, vesting in Her
Majesty the Queen full and free right, liberty, licence, and
authority in perpetuity to lay, construct, place, reconstruct,
cleanse, repair, and maintain a line of pipes along, under,
or over the said land, for the purpose of the disposal of
storm-water through the said pipes, together with the right
of ingress, egress, and regress for the said purpose, such
easement to be held appurtenant to the land described in the
said Third Schedule.

FIRST SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land over which an easement
is taken: 4·9 perches.

Being part Section 62 (D.P. 4672), Grey District; coloured
yellow.

SECOND SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 1 acre and 2·4
perches.

Being part Section 278, Huatoki Settlement; edged blue.

All situated in Block V, Paritutu Survey District, Taranaki
R.D. (S.O. 8726.)

In the Taranaki Land District; as the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 148242
deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington,
and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

THIRD SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 1 rood 8·95
perches.

Being Lot 9, D.P. 7025, being part Section 62, Grey
District. Part certificate of title, Volume 133, folio 44,
Taranaki Land Registry.

Situated in Block V, Paritutu Survey District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 13th day of October 1955.

Declaring Land in a Roadway Laid Out in Block XIV,
Hastings Survey District, Thames County, to be Road

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 421 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953,
I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke
Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare
the land described in the Schedule hereto and comprised in
a roadway laid out by the Maori Land Court by an order dated
the 10th day of May 1955, to be road.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land declared to be road:
0·7 of a perch.

Being part Opotaka Block (being part Opotaka-Kumitau
No. 2 Roadline).

Situated in Block XIV, Hastings Survey District, Auck-
land R.D. (M.L. 16900.)

In the South Auckland Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 148286
deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington,
and thereon coloured yellow.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 18th day of October 1955.

Defining the Middle Line of a Road in Blocks IX and XIV,
Waihua Survey District, viz., a Deviation of the Gisborne-
Napier, via Hangaroa, Main Highway

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-
General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-
General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that
the middle line of a road desired to be constructed over
Blocks IX and XIV, Waihua Survey District, viz., a deviation
of the Gisborne-Napier, via Hangaroa, Main Highway, shall
be that defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto; and I
do also declare that this Proclamation shall effect only that
land situated within the limits of the area shown coloured
red on the plan marked P.W.D. 147047 referred to in the
Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

COMMENCING at a point on the centre line of the Gisborne-
Napier, via Hangaroa, Main Highway, directly opposite the
common boundary of Mohaka A 47 and A 48 Blocks, Block IX,
Waihua Survey District, and proceeding thence in an easterly
and south-easterly direction generally for a distance of approx-
imately 3 miles 13 chains, and passing in, into, through, or over
the following lands, etc., viz., Mohaka A 23 Block, Te Kahu
Road, Mohaka A 24a, A 24b, A 73, A 74, and A 75 Blocks,
Block IX, Waihua Survey District, Section 132, Waipapa
Block, Lot 1, D.P. 2612, Waihua 1b Block, Blocks IX and XIV,
Waihua Survey District; and terminating at a point on the
centre line of the said Gisborne-Napier, via Hangaroa, Main
Highway 354 chains directly east of the eastern boundary of
Section 132, Waipapa Block, Blocks IX and XIV, Waihua
Survey District: including all adjoining and intervening places,
lands, reserves, roads, tracks, lakes, rivers, streams, and water-
courses; all in the Hawke’s Bay Land District; as the same is
more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D.
147047 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at
Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand,
this 17th day of October, 1955.
